If you have a beater car that runs but is ugly this is perfect. Have a white 2009 Honda civic. This is a black mirror. Goes great with my black front bumper and blue rear bumper.

Firstly, I'd like to say that the mirror came on time and was shipped adequately to prevent damage. For that alone, I'm giving it 2 starts. That said, however, I really don't recommend this mirror over an original mirror from Honda. This mirror is $34.47, which seems to be an awesome deal when you compare it to an original Honda mirror at $138.00. However, at least where I live, it took $80.00 to paint it. Considering that an original Honda mirror comes pre-painted, that's only a savings of $23.53. Also, the base of this mirror did not match the contour of the door exactly and, when installed, it left a noticeable gap where the mirror base met the door. So large, in fact, that I could see directly through the hole and into the door. Fortunately, the base comes off with three screws and the old base wasn't broken, so I swapped them. Still, not something worth dealing with just ot save $23.53. Once the base (and the gasket) was swapped with the old one, it installed correctly and works fine electrically. For that I give it another star. My advice: I usually have no problem buying third party accessories. For the most part, I've had very good luck. And if it had come painted, I would have considered this a deal even with the issues I had installing it. However, because of the expense of the paint and the very sloppy fit of the base, I would strongly recommend just buying one directly from Honda. ... show more
