My 2001 Suburban has the auto-dim mirrors but that didn't concern me so this replacement fit fine and was really easy to install. Not sure what others are talking about, mine snapped in place just fine with no issues. Does have the leads for the heated mirror so that's good.

I bought this mirror as a replacement for the driver's side mirror on my 2002 GMC Sierra Denali as the original mirror had started to separate from the housing. I was a little bit afraid that this replacement wouldn't be sufficient given that the reviews are hit or miss with how it fits and looks, but I'm very pleased to say that this mirror is fantastic for the price, and is pretty easy to install. I'm not sure why other's have had issues installing it but for my model vehicle it went on fine. The hardest part of the installation was applying enough pressure to fully seat all of the clips on the back. Maybe this is part of the reason why some people claim the mirror doesn't fit, because it takes a surprising amount of force to attach. I found that it was made a little easier by slightly bending the clips on the new mirror backwards, but it still was kind of difficult. Others have claimed that the optical quality of the mirror is poor but I also don't find this to be the case. The mirror ships with a protective plastic layer that should be peeled off. Once taken off the mirror is almost indistinguishable from the original. Overall I'd highly recommend this product for the price. ... show more

Bought 2 older suburbans (2001 and 2002) and both of the driver side mirrors were crazy looking! Bought this for both and it fits GREAT! Came in one piece and on time. Quick little YouTube video will show you the best way to install. Pretty easy and made driving 100% better.

The item came on time, it was packaged nicely n the quality seemed good, but within a few weeks the mirror glass started separating from the backing plate on one end. IDK if humans or machines mate the glass to the backing,but I know for sure more adhesive is needed. Otherwise great product.
