I got this set for my brothers wedding party gift because he is into making furniture but not into wood carving, yet. It looks like everything I expected except the V notch has a small knick right at the bottom of the V. I hope this can be filed out without damage to the tool. And if it can't I hope it isn't too noticable when a sharp point is desired. ... show more

The absolute best carving set I have ever had. The shipment from Germany was very fast. Ordered on the 6th received on the 15th, keeping in mind that they had to go thu customs. They are extremely sharp. Will order replacements if these ever wear out, which I doubt. Thanks for a very good product.

Had a set of these chisels that I’ve been using for 30 years and today instead of sharpening them I broke out the new chisels I purchased here on Amazon. After 15 minutes of use in pine, the tip deformed. Amazon was not the least bit helpful and customer service kept repeating. I missed the return deadline. I’m not sure why this happened but it’s clearly a manufacturing defect that Amazon won’t stand behind. I am frustrated beyond belief with Amazon and the entire situation, which I gave them every chance to correct this morning. If you’re planning on buying anything from Amazon, you better try and use it before the return deadline passes because they will not help after that deadline. I haven't used them all yet but have used most of them. At least three of the smaller tips broke and had to be reground before I could use them again. I thought the steel would be better quality than Chinese made tools but I was sadly mistaken.
