I recently moved over to Twisted X boots after a MASSIVE decline in quality of Ariat boots over the oast few years. I had worn Ariats for more than a decade and the last several pairs I bought fit worse and worse, wore faster, and had several defects start showing within a couple of months. I had to buy safety toe boots due to a change in policy at work, only to find that not only do my feet not fit inside the same size I've been wearing the whole time (9EE), but the toe cap felt like a normal width toe cap instead of wide once I eventually forced them on (along with MANY other issues). Needless to say, I was mad when Ariat didn't respond to emails and try to resolve the issues with both quality and sizing. So I checked out Twisted X and their reviews. I have to say that these boots fit better out of the box than literally any other boot I've ever owned. There was no "break-in" period. The alloy toe in these is more comfortable than the regular toe in any of my Ariats from the past few years...and millions of times better than Ariat's god-forsaken composite safety toe that was literally rubbing both sides of my feet and didn't have enough height to keep from destroying the tops of my toes. I literally have no complaints with these boots. I wish they had a gel insole, but that's just nit-picking. I bought a 9EE and they fit the exact way a 9EE should fit. If you're on the fence about these boots, you will absolutely not be disappointed.

Bought these for my husband after they were discontinued at our local Amish Seller. He was nervous about getting them without trying them on first but I measured his foot and compared it to twisted x size charts. He loves them and says they fit well. The one and only complaint he has is that the holes in the top to pull them onto his foot rub his legs but he fixed that with some tape.

Very durable & light boot. I work in saltwater & usually things don’t last that long out there. These boots do... and they hey were like putting on croks they’re so light. Definitely get the X-wide with slip-ons.
