I bought these purple lights and some identical white lights to use in my carport for a very small wedding. We used the purple lights for the side as light curtains and they were fantastic! Things I liked: - strands were clear so the focus was on the lights and it disappeared the rest of the time - each strand was individually wrapped which helped with it not tangling as much. We left them wrapped until we installed the top part, then unwrapped each section and that made our lives easier. - comes with a mini remote and lots of twinkle options - I liked that we could brighten or dim the lights - gives you the option to attach other strands of lights and the plug in portion of the strand was nice and long Things I didn’t like: - no directions so when it didn’t turn on at first I had to play around with it, but it really wasn’t that big of a deal. Pretty self explanatory if you take the time to look at it. - you have to be very close for the remote to work Great set of lights, will happily buy again if needed! ... show more

These were Christmas gift for my daughters room and evidently someone had returned them. I didn't take them out of the box when they arrived but wrapped them to get them under our tree. When taking them out of box I noticed they were really tangled, and all of the little ties that were supposed to be around the lights start to fall out. There wasn't a remote in the box either to control the lights. I am thankful that the lights work. They are bright and my daughter did like them. As far as the color, they aren't a deep purple like the picture, but more light purple. ... show more
