The sheet fit the mattress very snugly which I really like, since I don't like the feel of loose sheets when trying to sleep. It has very deep pockets and is sewn well with no loose threads. It's very soft and has a nice, silky feel to it. I love purple, so I have plenty of pillow cases from other sets that I can mix and match to this sheet. Less room needed for storage of those top sheets I don't use. The color is a very deep, vibrant purple. I washed it first and the color did not run in the wash cycle and dried very quickly. I haven't used it long enough to see if it will start to "pill" up, which I hate, so, I'll give a future update after a few more uses.
