  • Favorite band of the last decade.
I had no idea this existed until my nephew told me to check this band out, and wow. He categorized it as grunge/punk/psychedelic. I sort of agree. While it does exhibit elements of punk, though, the music has never felt manic. That's one of the reasons I've never truly loved the punk genre. It can be fine for me in small doses, but the anxiety it creates is usually something I'm not looking to explore when I want to "forget the world and get away with music." CSH feels different. WT writes and performs with a beautifully dynamic energy, that, so far to me, has not felt unnecessarily forceful. He captures his passion of (incredibly relatable) raw energy without ever feeling chaotic or disorganized. To me, it's the feeling of interpretive storytelling done perfectly (and I do not use that term lightly.) His lyrical writing, while simple, reminds me of Kurt Cobain's style. Even Will's instrumental arrangements feel lyrical. So good. ... show more

  • High quality
If you're buying this CD, I assume you already love the album, so to just speak for what you're getting and its quality: The case is a thick paper cardstock that holds up very well. It opens as a trifold and features a small piece of art and short poem by Will printed on the back of the cover. The full credits including the core band members and guests appearing on various tracks are also printed. You get both Face to Face (2018) and Mirror to Mirror (2011), the audio quality being superb for each. Tucked inside is a very stylized pamphlet featuring the art set spoken of in the outro of High to Death 'The Lady' by Hojin Stella Jung. Each painting of the set is placed alongside each track's lyrics. The lyrics themselves are written characteristically and uniquely, with references and artistic style throughout. Each track title has a short subtitle beneath that gives a bit more context to the Twin Fantasy narrative. Overall a fantastic CD and well worth a purchase if you love the album. ... show more

  • Amazing album, amazing packaging
Comes with both Mirror to Mirror and Face to Face, and the booklet include all the paintings from the series "The Lady," which is mentioned on the updated High to Death. I'm not reviewing the album, because if you're buying this, I'm assuming you already love the album (as I do). If you're a fan though, I'd say this is the best "band for your buck" physical release, and in my opinion is the best packaging for exploring Twin Fantasy as a binary with the M2M and F2F versions. Plus, you can bop to it in your car. ... show more

  • Great album, packaging could have been better.
This album is the most important release from my teenage years. It helped me realize a lot about myself in 2011, and I am forever thankful to Will for that original version. However, I will not be biased here. The packaging of this album is not the best, although I could see it being an aesthetic choice to match the DIY nature of mirror to mirror. When I got it out of the packaging I noticed it was creased at the spine. I don't care about that myself, but someone might. Oh, did I mention that this includes the 2011 and 2018 releases? Best deal you can get on any CD. ... show more

  • So good
The bar was set high with Teens of Denial...and I don't think this album reaches it...but it's still really freaking good. 5 starts just for Bodys and Cute Thing alone. Takes a couple spins to appreciate.

  • Great
A nice re-release, essential for Car Seat Headrest fans.

  • I need some help
The Sibe C disc is scratched or something. bodys is really glitchy and skips seconds. Im also not sure if its supposed to include both mirror to mirror and face to face but it only had Face to Face. I really love this album so this quality is quite dissapointing.
