Description

Remix albums are often iffy propositions. Either the remixes add nothing to the originals, or veer off so unrecognizably that you wonder what made you want to hear the damn songs in the first place. Well, this disc--essentially a chopped 'n' channeled version of the Zombies' Astro-Creep 2000--deftly avoids both of those pitfalls, thanks in large part to the indelible freak-show presence of Rob Zombie. Some mixes, like those by house music whiz Mike "Hitman" Wilson and psychedelic rappers P.M. Dawn, push the envelope extensively, while industrial master John Fryer and the ubiquitous Dust Brothers just enhance the band's freak-show quintessence. Fans of the surreal should note the presence of a cover of K.C. & the Sunshine Band's "I'm Your Boogie Man." --David Sprague

  • Fast and amazing product
Wow.. I'm amazed how fast this got to me and how amazing it was for its age. I love this company. I highly recommend buying from them.

  • Great music
I was going to download to a device I ordered previously, I just didn't receive my previous order.

  • Interesting takes on an epic album
I was looking for a More human than human remix for a video project and found myself enjoying the entire album. The original album is still bangin after almost 20 years, but the remixes pulled me in new and interesting directions. The result is something completely unrelated to the original- this is not a metal album- however I found it expansive and interesting, and a little too short. ... show more

  • Supersexy Techno Metal
White Zombie was/is one of the few 90's metal bands that I could actually listen to and enjoy. In an age of Pearl Jam and Sum 41, Rob Zombie along with Kid Rock and Metallica were pretty much the only options for 70's and 80's style music. White Zombie is super occult and sex minded with extremely racy lyrics that I cannot write here. If you want to get raucous, rawdy, and rebellious, NOTHING comes close to a good White Zombie album. Jam out to this in your car on a road trip or at a party. Zombie combines electronica, club, techno, and synth with CRUSHING metal jams. More Human than Human is just one example. Serious metal with an electronica twist! My favorite sounds ever! ... show more

  • but is truly the best 8 bucks I've ever spent
I was skeptical about this, but is truly the best 8 bucks I've ever spent! I like many of the remixes more than the originals. A fun collection of Zombie's best

  • Music to feel.....your internal world
White Zombie meets industrial club mix dance music. Gets a whole different emotional pull from you (and, yes, I believe good music should pull stuff from your soul whether it disturbs you or releases you). Put it in, let it drift through the membrane, and see what you get.

  • Not a 'Zombie' fan
The disc itself is fine, as far as no skips or flaws in the sound reproduction that I can hear. So as it disc its fine. The music though is a bit wanting. I was looking for a 'Zombie' disc to add to my collection and listenened to the sample clips and thought it would be fine...I don't care for most of it. That's just me though, music is subjective...the disc itself plays fine. ... show more

  • What can you say, the man is a genius.
I don't like every track equally, but I like most of them a lot! They are fun cool remixes not just the song redone with a dance rave sub beat to it. Highly recommended for Rob or White Zombie fans. (Same thing only different eh?)
