  • A great product
I bought this product to use for my 16 hours long overseas flight. After a brief research, I found this product to work well with Apple AirPods Pro, and my experience with it agrees. Pros: - It paired with AirPods Pro quickly. - It stayed connected throughout my flight with some small hiccups but restarting it solved the problem. - The battery stayed charged throughout the flight. - It's a light and pocketable device that comes with a small pouch. - It seems to be sturdy as I dropped it a few times, and it still works without any issues. Cons: - It is expensive compared to the competitors. - Using it with the PC, when the speaker sound is quiet or silent, it tends to shut itself off, but it turns back on again within a second. It's kind of annoying, but I got used to it. - It transmits a decent quality sound, but don't expect an audiophile quality sound. - When I put my AirPods in the case to charge for 10 minutes, then put it back in my ear again, it couldn't connect right away. Restarting the device solved the problem. Overall, it is a good product to use with AirPods during travels. - ... show more

  • A wonderful little device that's essential for air travel using wireless headphones.,
This little device is essential for my frequent air travel. With it, I can easily connect my wireless headphones to the plane's entertainment system without a pesky wire. It works great and I don't leave home without it. Sound quality that comes through is excellent... as good as through a cord.

  • Easy to connect, works!!!!
Used this on my flight to London. It worked great and connected to my AirPods. Unfortunately it was stolen along with all my adaptors from my backpack while in Europe. I loved it so much that I am buying again.

  • Once you get it to work, it's great.
This is the only way I know to get your Airpods to work on a plane with the seatback entertainment system. The Airpods are great and the noise cancelling is SO nice on an airplane. The problem is that there is no way to connect them to most seatback entertainment systems. This device can do that, and when it works it is a joy. The problem with the AirFly is that the directions aren't very good and pairing it with your Airpods is not intuitive or easy. I gave up on my first flight, since fiddling with the devices in a cramped airline seat is difficult. With renewed motivation on the second flight, and having committed the instructions to memory so that I didn't have to try to read them on the plane, I succeeded. One of the problems is that the only feedback on either the AirFly or Airpods is a tiny multicolor LED, and you need to know the codes of colors and flashing modes to know when to go to the next step. Also, my first semi-successful attempt only got a clicking sound out of the seatback system and I had to repeat the process in order to get it to work. Once it works, though, the sound quality was great, the noise cancelling took out the fatigue of the engine noise, and even suppressed a nearby fussy baby (not mine) to the point that I could ignore it. Overall, worth the price and effort to learn how to use it. ... show more

  • Works great!
I’ve used this on multiple flights and it works well every time! Easy to pair with Apple AirPods and no issues with sound quality. Great for international flights on planes with in-seat screens that are not Bluetooth compatible!

  • Great Customer Service
I've found the AirFly to be easy to connect to and it does exactly what it's supposed to do - transmit sound to my bluetooth earbuds. I've used it for a couple hours daily for a few months and it works great. However, after a couple months, the on/off switch stopped functioning, making it impossible to turn off. I contacted Twelve South and, with just a couple simple steps, they quickly sent out a replacement unit. Great customer service. ... show more

  • Worked well...just not all of the time. And, then it died.
We used these in two ways: on the plane to listen to movies and attached to an Audiovox transmitter while on guided tours. For the former, the AirFly Duo worked perfectly. We plugged it in to the audio jack on the plane and were able to listen to movies using our Apple AirPods or bluetooth headphones. It made life on the plane a little easier, not having to deal with earphone wires. Use with the Audiovox was mixed. Sometimes, it worked perfectly, maintaining a connection to the transmitters supplied by the tour. It was very nice not having the wire from the earphone to the device getting in the way. However, periodically, the connection would be lost and we would have to turn the AirFly off and back on to restore it. During the time it took for the connection to be re-established, we were not able to hear our guide. The occurrence of this would be completely unpredictable. Sometimes the connection would be maintained for long periods. Other times, it might cut out several times within a few minutes. The distance from the guide's transmitter to our Audiovox did not seem to be a factor. We will continue to use these and hope that instances of lost connection don't become too bothersome. Update: Only a year or so after purchasing this, it began to fail to hold a charge. I tried several times, with different cables and USB ports and the light no longer comes on. It is dead. Too bad, it worked sort of OK for a while. ... show more
