Great product, awesome customer service

I ordered this bookshelf a few weeks ago to set up a closet in a bedroom that we were combining both of my young daughters (5 and 2) in so that we could easily distinguish between their things. The shipping packaging was excellent at preventing damage and everything arrived without issue. The delivery people even carried the big heavy box up into the bedroom on the second floor for us. The assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow and I was able to assemble it in about an hour. The quality is great and it feels very sturdy and secure (came with L bracket to attach to the wall, I drilled holes in the sides to attach metal closet rods and brackets). I reached out to the customer service after using it for about a week to see if there was a way to purchase some additional shelves for it and they sent me 2 new shelves at no charge. They initially forgot to send the hardware with the extra shelves, but when I reached out and asked they mailed that over without issue. Now it has 7 shelves and is beautifully functional! Very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend!

Pleasantly surprised!!

I don't normally write reviews, so for me to write a review about a storage tower seems a bit odd, BUT... I am very pleasantly surprised by this tower. First off, the packaging it came wrapped up with was phenomenal. It had a box around a box, foam "corner bumpers", and then shrink wrapped. I think it took me more time to unpack it than it took to set it up, but there was no damage, scratches, or dents in any of it because of this, so I have to give the 5 stars just for that fact. As far as the tower itself, it was very easy to put together. I did it myself in about 20 minutes. It seems very sturdy and it fits perfectly in my closet for some added space. It even has a carved out area to clear your floor trim (genius). I had all the parts needed, and I always check BEFORE putting something like this together. All in all I don't have anything negative to report about this purchase.

Worst purchase I’ve made on Amazon!

This piece was just the size I wanted, but I definitely regret purchasing it! I’ve put together numerous pieces and don’t expect the quality to be the best, but I would appreciate if it wasn’t falling apart before I even finish putting it together. Perhaps this was a one off thing but the particle board was crumbling as I used a regular screwdriver to put this piece together.

Needs one more shelf.
A lovely piece, nice looking, well made. However, it needs one more shelf. There is a fixed shelf in the middle and three adjustable shelves so you end up with three shelves at 12 inches high and two shelves at 18 inches (or one at 12 and another at 24.). I bought this as a bookcase so I really want six shelves at 12 inches. (You can get another shelf from Amazon for about $45. More that half what the whole unit cost. )

IKEA is usually my go-to when buying things like this, but their prices and having an item in stock to pick up isn’t what it used to be. Could not believe my luck finding this. It’s a perfect fit for a strange little hallway corner. It’s good quality, easy to assemble, and looks great. I asked if I could purchase additional shelves to utilize the unused space in the unit, and they sent three with the hardware at no expense. They have a nice selection, so I’m sure to be purchasing from them again.

Hard to find size but quality (as received) is marginal
When you have a special size (i.e. narrow) space for a book shelf, your options are limited, especially at this price point. And the oversized box must make shipping and delivery problematic for the carrier. My item arrived with minor crushing damage to corners and edges. Fortunately I could put the worst damage to the back and paint it up to make it less obvious. The damage was cosmetic and did not prevent assembly. I found the wordless instructions easy enough to follow, but the poor quality of the hardware parts caused a lot of frustration. Finally, there were not enough moveable shelves. The middle shelf is fixed for stability but there are only 3 moveable shelves that can be placed above or below the fixed middle shelf. So one shelf is very tall, much taller than most books, and that limits how many books can be shelved. Meaning space is wasted. And another thing: the cardboard panel that closes off the back is just a little too small by about 1/4" on each side - 1/16" should have been the setback, not 5/16". That makes placement extremely critical. The little nails that attach the panel may go off course and protrude out if not carefully positioned and hammered in. Assembly tip: before attaching the back panel I recommend marking the long upright sides with the centerline location of that fixed middle shelf. After positioning the panel draw a line connecting the marks across the panel and you can nail on that line knowing that the nails will hit the middle shelf in the right place. Four moveable shelves and a fully sized back panel would have made me feel a lot better about this product and maybe bumped it up to 4 stars.
