Bought this for my Kayak and inflatable SUP. So far so good, seems to be well built (think most of this style are from the same factory) with a nice rope and bag. The buoy is foam, so will see how it lasts, but better than a plastic ball. I used it on the Sacramento river in a decent current (maybe 2 mph) with gravel bottom, held no problem. With all your water toys, lay them out to dry so they stay nice, the rope will now dry in the bag if you leave it packed.

This bad boy is like a grappling hook. As long as there is something on the bottom for it to snag, it holds great!

Holds a perception outlaw 11.5 fishing kayak with a mild breeze. Any decent wind and you will drift slightly but not very much. Only reason for the four stars is the mechanism that locks it open/shut is a little unreliable. Usually stayed locked open but when you wanted to store it shut one of the arms would sometimes pop out of the lock. Not a huge deal but a problem nonetheless

I purchased this anchor to help maintain the position of our floats while sun bathing in the Gulf. I worried the anchor would be to light, I guess the weight at under 4 pounds, it worked fantastically. We only experienced drift during bigger waves but even then only repositioned the anchor 2 times. I spent more time snorkeling and less time holding everything in place, a huge win! The cord length was sufficient to secure our water shoes as well as an added bonus.
