I just bought my second one of these. Giving 5 stars because even though my first one had a heating element go out inside the plate, causing uneven heating, it worked great for me until that happened. And even after I realized it wasn’t heating evenly, I was still able to limp it through some projects until I was able to replace it. I had it for about 3 years before that happened. Wish it had been longer before something went out on it but I still won’t take a star off for it. Just got the new one in today. Seems like it runs maybe 5-10 degrees over the temp I set it too, but I’m already very happy with it. I had been struggling with photo slates due to my first one heating unevenly, but with the new one, I popped two of them out like it was nothing. No uneven heating causing me to ruin the slates. Definitely sad I had to buy a new press but when it works properly, it’s fantastic. ... show more

I used this product to make t shirts! The machine is extremely hot so make sure you are extra careful putting shirts on machine and taking them off! Now for the price the machines is great! It took me no time to get the hang of the machine! Easy set up and makes the shirts pretty good! The only problems I have is 1. I tried to make the top plate tighter to add more pressure but when u do that the top plate won’t lock! So I have to hold it! 2. The temperature settings are off! It says it’s over 300 degrees but it doesn’t exactly make my heat transfer stick to my shirt! Now I turn it up to max heat and double the time to improvise and believe it or not that helped! So now I’m using it with ease and making plenty of shirts! ... show more

    • Actual Temperature Is Not Correct REVISED

I did a lot of research on heat presses before I purchased this one. And everything about it is more than I could ask for...except...It does not heat up to the temperature that I have it set to. I have checked and rechecked to make sure I have it on Fahrenheit, not Celsius. I have even tested the heat with 2 different laser infrared gauges; even purchased an inexpensive metal food thermometer which is placed directly on the top heated plate...but still too much of range difference in temps for me to be pleased with it. I have it set at 375 degrees, but the highest it registers is 305 degrees. I could move the temp to about 425 degrees, but I feel it should be heating at 375, like the digital readout says. I went so far as to press an item for 30 seconds, and as soon as it was removed I checked the temperature on the top. I've contacted Tusy, but have not heard anything back from them. I'm hoping that this one can be swapped out and I can give this the 5 star review that I would like to! It was purchased on 10/11/19. I truly LOVE everything else about this heat press!! **** I am editing my first review. After emailing the TUSY company, they quickly replied back to me, sent a helpful video to show me how to reset the temperature (or recalibrate) on my press, and now it works PERFECTLY! It only took me about 2 tries to get it corrected, and I even tested the actual heat press temp with the digital readout; it was only off about 2-4 degrees. I am VERY pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend this machine to anyone that is a first time buyer of a heat press. And I'm glad I went with the 15" x 15" press! ... show more

The heat press is good. The reason for the one star is because the shipper was not good or helpful in any way. The shipper packaged the product on a Friday but decided to drop it off at FedEx the estimated day I was supposed to receive it. That was problem number 1. I’m very thankful I shipped this to my work because FedEx never delivered my package but scanned it saying it was delivered. I had to get my works shipping manager to call our FedEx rep to locate and deliver this package. The help I got from the shipper was “I can reach out and talk to the receiver since he signed for it”.
