    • The press is good but the extras are not.
So I’ve had this for a few months. The heat press itself is good although tons of paint scrapping off that I’m constantly having to clean up. And now recently the trigger switch for the timer has gotten off centered and I’m having to tweak it. The accessories are not worth the extra cost. The mug press requires the least amount of work but the opening is too big so if you want to do as much of the mug as possible you will have to do some moving and re-pressing. In order to use the hat and plate presses you basically have to take the whole thing apart including the top and bottom plates. This is a major pain in the rear and I literally had to get help to put it back together. The hat press was a total failure and is way too small. I tried multiple brands of sublimation hats. And after the pain the rest that was taking it apart and putting it back together, I’ve not even bothered with the plate press. I’ll continue to use the heat press until I can’t fix it anymore. But once’s that’s done, I’ll be looking for a clamshell style one with slide out. Luckily I was able to get a separate tumbler press that works great but even the $30 used convection oven that I got was working better than the mug press. ... show more

With Amazon heat presses It seems to be you get an ugly heat press with good quality or a cute heat press with subpar quality so I was iffy about this but it was cute and had everything I was looking for in a press; a swing away style with a pull out surface, a 15x15 size, easy on the eyes, and a well trusted brand as far as Amazon heat presses go so I decided after tons of research and thought, to go with this one even though the the other model is the one with most of the reviews. The package arrived safely with everything in tact. Once I took it out of the box and inspected it, everything appeared to be in great condition. Assembly was super easy as I only had to attach the control box and connect the “cables” to the sockets which was easy because you had to match the corresponding prongs/pins. The temperature output was accurate and i appreciate how straightforward everything is. Overall you really can’t go wrong with this press and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable press or anyone starting out in using heat presses and it’s so pretty and matches my cricut and and all my crafting tools and desk accessories. ... show more

Just received so have not used yet. The booklet that comes with this item suck major. No clear instructions does not tell you what the knobs are and how to tighten it. Does not even have brand name of heat press on the booklet, there was a nice sheet that was on the heat plate, not sure if that has to stay or if you can remove it. My first use I was kinda leery and worried. The heat press emitted a burning smell and smoked a little when first pressing a shirt at 380 degrees. The shirt was fine. After a couple of uses the smell was gone and so was the smoke. Sublimation emits a gaseous smell which is normal. I bought a heat resistant mat to put under the press because the heat from the press is very hot. The top of the base also gets very hot but the base has handles that stay cool. I had to tighten up the wing nuts on the slide out because they were very loose. I also made sure to tighten up all the screws. Now I love my heat press! I love the swing away and the pull out design! ... show more

    • Cheaply made and not assembled properly
First off I'd like to point out that our last machine was a Tussy but not a swing away, that one was great. This swing away heat press was not on the slide rails right so the bottom plate was slanted causing uneven pressure when clamping down. After I fixed it this unit just feels extremely cheap compared to our original Tussy. We ended up returning it and I think that we are going to go with another brand. ... show more

Was not sure if the bottom slid out but it does and so far it’s perfect. I have not had one issue with heating. Perfect for my little crafting hobby. Saw a you tube video and tusy on as like 5 on the best ones and this color was definitely a bonus but i didn’t care what color it was. I wasn’t sure if a side one versus a lift up was for me but it’s fine stockings were a bit of a challenge but just used my hand press for those. Tshirts and sweatshirts are fine.
