So far I really like this Turtle Beach stealth 600 wireless headset. Before I was using a pair of Samsung ear buds that had volume control on the line but no mute button. I was always afraid I would damage them somehow because the only way to mute was to pull the cord out of the controller. Anyways I'm really enjoying this TB Stealth 600 headset. At first was a little bit hard to figure which volume to control sound vs. Chat but I just played with the controls until I got the settings just right. It is marked but reaching up on the left ear muff to control was were I was having my issues. After about 10 minutes I got the logistics of it all and was ready to game. I do own a TB headset for the 360 but it is not wireless. 16' cord. Has a control box w/ the volume, bass, & chat controls on it. So to be cordless again it's great. I also own a 360 ear piece that is Bluetooth which has a switch to switch to chatting on your cell phone. Surprisingly it was not compatible with the one. Now that was a great ear piece headset. Had an 8 hour game charge. I ended getting two of them. That's another plus for this wireless stealth 600 headset. It actually has a 15 hr charge that really lasts. When I got my headset in I immediately tried to update it to the latest version but didn't have to because it already was which was nice to know. I was reading some of the reviews which was instructing to do that first. Anyways for the price you really get a lot. Long charge hold status-15 hr. Wireless- connects just like controller, volume controls - for chat & game separate, comes w/ charge cable. Features SuperHuman hearing- can hear footsteps and gun reloads. There's also like 4 different modes for the bass and sound. Hope I'm not forgetting anything. Feel like I've covered a lot. Anyways item is as described. Hope you enjoy as I have. UPDATE: So, after three years, I feel the need to come back and update this review. After a few months and a few firmware updates, I opted to try these again. And, for the record, they got the kinks worked out. This is a fantastic headset that does exactly what I hoped it would - gave me a headset to use without cords. One that worked while gaming with a controller, a fightstick or any other gadget I plugged into the console ... or even without a controller while just party chatting with friends. I probably should knock it down by a star because after a couple years of use my headset broke last year after countless hours atop my giant noggin. But I have been very happy with it. So much so I actually replaced it with the same model and am still using this same model today with the Series X console. No complaints. ORIGINAL REVIEW: After I was really excited to get this headset as I've been a big fan of Turtle Beach's headsets for more than 9 years (I loved my X3 back in 2008) and I've been looking forward to finally having a completely wireless headset I can use with some of my non-headset friendly controllers (i.e. fightsticks). I gotta say, though, the form factor is nice and the fit is comfy. And, when the headset does work, the sound is fairly solid, with footsteps and gunshots swirling around you during gameplay. But the wireless tech, whether it's Microsoft's problem or Turtle Beach's problem, is not up to snuff. My couch is approximately 5 feet from the TV and the headset constantly crackles and cuts out, making the soundtrack choppy and distorted like a dub-step filled horror movie. The headset just doesn't maintain a solid connection to keep the sound clean. And that's enough for me to call this a failed venture. In addition, there is an audible noise that rings (or fizzes - half hissing, half buzz) in my ears that often fills silent moments. So, while the features on the headset are all there - separate mic and headset volumes, different modes and Xbox Surround sound - the fact it doesn't cleanly offer untainted audio (I'm assuming it's interference in the connection to the console), means this one will have to be sent back. And that makes me super sad. I'm hoping they can figure out the connection issues and patch this product and improve it in inevitable subsequent releases.

Long time turtle beach user here, I have been using Turtle Beach since the Xbox 360, and have used the X31s and XO Sevens with no issues whatsoever. I have been waiting for these for a long time, as I have been waiting for a headset that is completely wireless for both Xbox One and PC. I gave these a go and as everyone else, I received a pair with the light buzzing sound in the left ear cup. Furthermore, I tested these on PC with the Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter, and they do in fact still buzz on PC. To make matters worse, if you set the headphones as your default playback and recording device, when you have the mic down (not up and muted), then there is an insanely loud static sound in both ear cups. I was really looking forward to these headphones, but unfortunately they have not met the standards I am used to with Turtle Beach. Please fix these asap TB. Update: With the new firmware update today, connection issues have been better, slightly. I don't want people to get the wrong idea here, these headphones are comfortable, and have great sound when they work. But unfortunately the buzzing, disconnection, and loud static when connected to PC are a lot of issues for a pair of headphones. Knowing Turtle Beach, these will be fixed soon. But for those less patient or not TB enthusiasts like myself, I would look to the wireless Astro A20s that come out this October. I've been on the fence between the two and pulled the trigger with these. I am sure though that the A20s will be fine looking for a fully wireless solution. Update 2: I've been in contact with the TB engineering team after talking to customer service for a few days. They replaced my headphones and they are completely flawless. No buzzing, no static, no dropouts. Give TB a few more weeks and these headphones should be fixed for everyone. They're fixing the problems slowly but surely and I can attest to that.

Ok so based on the reviews I was a bit unsure at first but I have to say these are great headphones. Some people mentioned that they don’t fit well but I think it really depends on how you adjust them and how big your head/ears are, for me they fit fine and have comfortable to wear without issue. Also make sure to connect it with your PC and update it using the Turtle Beach Hub before use so the most recent bugs and issue concerning connectivity and other problems get fixed, then connect to Xbox. Sound quality for me has also been excellent with great bass clear and mostly loud audio but at times I do wish it would be louder even at Max volume. Their are two main modes the standard surround sound mode that sound wise is well balanced and is great for mostly anything, the second mode is superhuman hearing which boosts the headphones volume louder than normal and dramatically reduces the bass or low end. In superhuman mode you can definitely hear better around you than the standard surround sound but it’s a bit jarring to use as it feels to chaotic and you hear to much going on with mixed results this feature may work better with certain games like rainbow six siege as I tried it with black ops 4 and rainbow and it just sounded to overwhelming playing COD also the quality of the sound takes a bit to a hit also. Besides the occasionally to low of volume and so so super human mode their great headphones that as long as you update them prior have a great connection with my Xbox One S and sound good and fit comfortably from my several hours of use. Feels great not having to worry about cables and your not sacrificing much! Try them out and maybe they will fit and work for you great. UPDATE: 7-26-19 These are still a great buy volume still get plenty loud although I use these mostly at night, and those who are complaining may also have some hearing loss. After update connectivity has been fine and battery life is decent but not great I get about 10-12 hours using the mic intermittently. Takes about 3ish hours to charge otherwise worth the money and haven’t had any big issues.

Not bad for a completely wireless headset. they connect to the console the same way the controller does so that's very nice. The audio is crisp and I was surprised by the virtual surround sound and the different EQ sets. Nice quality all the way around. I normally don't buy Turtle Beach because they have so many different kinds and I always found them to be of cheap quality. One thing I don't like about this headset is the audio drops every once and a while and it's kinda understandable but this is 2017. I guess it depends on what you have around. WiFi etc. I did update the firmware on the headset and the audio drops were less frequent but it still happened. Overall great headset to come around in a long time. REVIEW UPDATE: I had to return these. The sound cut off was getting worse and worse. There was also a high pitch noise like the other reviews have mentioned. I tried moving my wireless router and see if that made it better and no. Gosh I really wanted to like these. When they work they work well. If Turtle Beach does acknowledge these issues and provide a new update and things are working again then I might consider buying them but until then I cannot justify a reason to keep them around. One thing I will point out is the instructions are not accurate when going into the sound settings on the Xbox One. Maybe they made this with new system update that is coming up around the time the Xbox One X is released. Who knows Review Update 9/16/17: I read about the new firmware so I bought them again updated to the latest firmware and no problems! The headphones are now working normally. Good job TurtleBeach.

I bought these for my 8 year old son who is an avid gamer (like many hours a day). I happened to "borrow" them for a few days (while I happened to be playing Far Cry Primal) so I could test them out and the results were great. They are PLENTY loud, so if volume is your concern these will cover you. They are actually so loud I had to turn them down to about 90% to avoid discomfort, but I am protective of my ears as well. As far as comfort goes they are GREAT. The weird swivel design on the cans made me cautious but it turns out they are significantly more durable and comfortable than any of the other headsets I have shelled out for the last few years (and there have been quite a few pair of them under the bridge!). They cover the entire ear and sit lightly on the top f the head. I wore them for about 8 hours straight several days in a row with zero agitation or problem. Also the battery life is plenty long for extended sessions. We charge it at night when we turn off the system for the day and they never seem to run out. They did die on me once, but I was using them for a few days before that without recharging, so a good long life. The microphone is the biggest winner for me, tat flip up and off design is FANTASTIC and its not a cheap mic that gets all bent and weird after a few weeks of real use. It stays clean and just disappears when unwanted. When it is down in the on position, it sounds just fine. As far as I'm concerned, there isn't a gaming headset mic that doesn't sound like a tinny piece of garbage of you actually are concerned with "sound quality". As far as mics go, this one ranks as well as any of them. Also the dedicated volume control for the mic is a nice feature (beyond just on/off). Now when that one friend who doesn't understand the concept of audible etiquette starts blaring in your ear, you can just roll them down. Worth every penny I spent.

I'm reluctant to give this item 5 stars. 5/5 is perfect. With that said so far this item met my expectations and exceeded them, which is why I gave it 5. I wear glasses, its comfortable. It's not noise canceling per se, but it does quiet the surroundings some (your ears are covered afterall) It has ok sound - not a bose or sennheiser. They are big and bulky but they are comfortable and breathable. It connects to the xbox like a controller, directly. If u turn the 600 on it will turn on ur xbox. That's all fine and a 4/5. The little extra that I didnt expect.....since the headset is direct to the xbox...my wife and I can use apps like Netflix, plex, etc thru the xbox and BOTH use headsets(I'll explain). We have a tv that allows bluetooth (that's one headset- we have a sony piece that bluetooths to the tv) then the xbox headset (the 600 stealth) to the xbox is a second wireless headset at the same time. It's great bc we have a baby and using the headsets helps us ignore our child lol jk jk. When our son is asleep we can both watch movies and shows and not have to use cc or worry about the sound being too loud! This made the 100 bucks for the headset worth it. The battery life is like 10 or 15 hours. If ur using it that long in one session u should prolly go outside and get some sunlight/vitamin D. I did plug it in to a computer and verify I was updated. I also left it plugged in to the xbox to charge overnight before I used it. Hope this helps someone on the fence about the 600. I have no other xbox headsets to compare this to so please keep that in mind.

I have been on a month long search for a pair of wired OR wireless headphones that likely don't exist. I have a bigger head, I wear glasses and have chronic neck pain. SO, I have been looking for a wireless set to accommodate these needs and have tried/looked at too many brands and models to count or list here. Wired and wireless - Exclusive to console and universal. I have found nothing yet, unfortunately. But of the many, this set stands out because it's the ONLY one I haven't wanted to throw against the wall. They ALL say, "made for LONG gaming sessions!" OR "perfect for gamers with glasses!". I say phooey!!! This unit does not live up to its 15 hour battery claim, are not made for people with glasses and certainly are not comfortable enough to wear for "Long" gaming sessions, (maybe comfy for like 25 minutes). They DO however truly sound GREAT and they ARE made by the largest headset manufacturer maybe in the world, so they will be supported well. The most important positives? They are one of the few non-budget sets that offer hybrid surround sound, they connect DIRECTLY to the Xbox one, (like a controller pairs) AND they are less than $100. These might be PERFECT for someone with a smaller head... UPDATE: After over a month with them I have decided to change my rating. They really have grown on me in terms of what they offer and how they offer it. As they have "broken in" they have become more comfortable for me, however, battery life is still no where near 15 hours as claimed. It might be around 9-11 hours, even withe the "super hearing setting off" and Windows Sonic sound on, (The headphones call for that setting for the unit). If I could offer a 4.5 score I would, but since I can't, a 5 will do as it is a great option I feel for most looking for headsets.
