This fit the v15 perfectly, so no issues there. Power's pretty good - it's definitely better on carpet than it is on hardwood or tile; the official Dyson model is a bit better on both. It feels a little lighter and less sturdy than the name brand, but it doesn't strike me as fragile. It's a step down, but a fine replacement for the original head. ... show more

Compared to the original Dyson head I do not feel it is as strong and durable. I would say the plastic is thinner but for the price point your paying for what you get. It does the job I need it too and I picks up a great deal of dog hair. I have noticed after time the dog hair and dirt accumulates in the head of it a lot easier and faster. If your looking for the exact same type of head as the Vacume it has similarities but is not the exact same thing. For the price point it does what is needed ... show more

Excellent replacement head for my Dyson V8 animal+. As you can see the side by side comparison via photo, the heads are almost exact. My original dyson head was extremely gross and almost impossible to clean. The dyson replacement head retails for 76 and I saved $26 by purchasing this instead.
