Update - After purchasing a replacement top, and religiously hanging it up to dry, I’m having the same problem I had when I tried machine drying the first one I had. The pieces of padding break apart and form a lumpy mass. The instructions say to hand wash and hang dry. I am using the hand wash cycle on my washing machine which perhaps is too rough for this product. However, in my opinion something meant to be worn and sweated in should not be so delicate that you can’t even wash it. For the money I’ve spent on two of these, I could’ve just purchased the UnderArmor brand and had a good quality product. This is a uch a waste of money! Original Review: Overall the quality seems good, but whatever you do - do not machine dry! We bought the real UnderArmor brand last year and I was able to wash and dry them daily without a problem (my kids have daily practice). However, this brand does not hold up in the dryer. Once dried in the dryer, the padded sections separate within the outer material causing them to become lumpy masses. It feels like the inner material is made up of a bunch of plastic hexagons that are stuck together until you dry them, and then they seperate…and there’s just a lump of stuff where the pad should be. Hard to explain, but trust me…do not dry them in the dryer! In the product’s defense, the washing instructions do clearly say not to machine dry, but since I had gotten away with it all football season long last year (with the name brand), I thought I could get away with it again, but apparently not. ... show more

I purchased this for my 14 year old son who is a goal keeper for his JV school team. He is in between an adult small & medium shirt for most things, but these compression shirts are super tight so I ordered an adult large and I'm glad I did. Quality seems to be pretty decent (I've seen a little better for more $ & I've seen WAY cheaper made for less $) and the padding is very thick. So much so that he kinda looks like he's wearing football pads under his jersey (we asked for an adult medium from the school to help this a little). I'd recommend this for the money. ... show more

    • Great Material and Comfortable
I got this product as an extra layer of protection for snowboarding after hurting my ribs several times. Overall the material is made of very good quality that will not rip apart and is stretchable. The sponges are not that big but sufficient for a small fall and comfortable. If you need to protect your ribs I recommend wearing the padded and shirt and rib armor which what I am using now and both work together very well to protect the impact of a fall.
