As a 45 year competitive cyclist and a cycling coach, I have been using tums for many years for relief from leg cramps. They work very quickly but only last for about 15 miles if you continue to push. Take it easy. This is an old cyclist hack. Not necessarily supported by medical studies to my knowledge.
