I put this umbrella to the test the first day I got it. It was a rainy and very windy day and I had to walk home from and back to the tire store. The umbrella wasn’t phased by the wind at all! It isnt quite as deep as I like, more in the flat shaped end of things, so it didn’t come down to protect my shoulders and face much. But that’s ok, it kept me dry enough on a super stormy day. I’ve never bought an umbrella that costs more than $10, so I was expecting this one to be really impressive. I bought it to block the sun when sitting for hours at a soccer game, but it has a problem when using it this way - you can see through the fabric of the umbrella. The material seems decent and I’m assuming it would do a great job of keeping the rain off you. It’s easy to open. Slightly difficult to close so if you have injured hands or arthritis, this umbrella won’t work for you. It was easy to get the cover of the umbrella back on. Tl;dr It’s a decent umbrella and probably does well for blocking rain. Look elsewhere if you’re planning to use it to keep the sun off you. ... show more

I live in a city, and a lot of times the wind can be so strong that it breaks umbrellas. So far this one has held up, and I really like that there is a button on the handle to open and close the umbrella. I also really like the starry design inside.

Who do I contact about getting a replacement? A pin holding one of the rib together snap off somehow and when I tried to close one of the rib piece snap. It worked good when it was intact. Updated my review to 5 stars because the customer service was great. They offer me a full refund but I opted to get a replacement and they got one out to me in a few days. ... show more

This umbrella is exactly how it appears in the product photos. It comes encased within an umbrella tote bag that fits it perfectly and is not flimsy. The umbrella is extremely sturdy. Pushing the button will open or close the umbrella with ease. The design of the petals is so beautiful and looks even more breathtaking in person. A nice surprise was receiving a personalized card, thanking me for my purchase. I don't know if the person depicted on the card is real but nonetheless I liked the added personal touch.
