This umbrella is great, it's easy to open and close with the touch of a button. It's compact enough to fit in your car, backpack or tote bag. The design is really pretty as well. It's very sturdy and holds up great, even when it's windy. The material is nice and thick. And the item is very well made. I have been using it for a while now and there are no leaks at the seams at all, like I have experienced with some other major brands. This little umbrella appears to be one that will be around in my household for a long time to come, as hopefully it is indeed as well-made as it appears to be. When folded, it is small enough to easily fit inside of a backpack or even many purses, and it is more lightweight than many umbrellas that I have used in the past. It opens very quickly and effectively with just one click of the button. This umbrella has a relatively short shaft, approximately 21 inches in length from The top of the umbrella to the bottom of the handle. Because of this, as well as the size of the circumference of the umbrella itself, this is, in all practicality, a one person umbrella. If two people are trying to walk underneath of it, the taller person will definitely have to hold it. But, having said that, it appears to be a very nice personal umbrella for one person. The outside of the umbrella, facing the sky, is black, while the inside of the umbrella has the image of clear blue skies…very nice. Another nice feature is that it is constructed to be somewhat windproof because there is an opening in between the flaps of the umbrella for air to escape from gusts of wind. Closing the umbrella is also pretty easy… Just pull it down from the inside center top shaft until it locks back into position. All in all, it looks to be a pretty good umbrella. ... show more

    • Too Pricey for What You Get
This umbrella itself is fine. I love the design and it works as it should. The single-button open/close feature is great. However, it is much smaller than I anticipated...ideal for one smaller person. It is a great one to keep in the car for unexpected rain. In terms of value, the price is much higher than like-products. You can definitely find something similar for cheaper...or buy a larger umbrella for the higher price. ... show more

This umbrella is great! I love the one button open/close feature. However, I find it quite odd that you have to push down on the top of the umbrella in order to wrap it back up. I don't know many people that want to touch a wet umbrella. Other than that, the umbrella is sturdy and has lived up to its expectations. ... show more

What a great idea for an umbrella! Put the design on the inside so that you can see it while using it. That's cool. Not to mention, this is also a very well made umbrella. Opens and closes quite easily. It has the built in venting half way up to help reduce issues with the wind catching it. It is a travel umbrella, so it is a bit on the small size, but actually bigger than most travel umbrellas I've had in the past. All in all, zero complaints! ... show more

    • Heavy Duty - Hard To Close
I got this for my wife, and she loves the design... she really likes everything about it with one exception. It takes a lot of force to close the umbrella, so I doubt she will use it much. That said, this is a heavy duty umbrella and should give many years of service.

    • Works Well
Over the years, I have owned many "windproof" umbrellas. Some were expensive, some were cheap, some worked, some did not. I have learned that even the best of the best will eventually fail; the longevity is a function of materials and design, with a loose correlation to price. I tested this umbrella in ~20mph sustained winds and ~30mph gusts. It held up well and I think with proper use, it will last a long time. The key reason for that (I think) is the blend of materials and design. Materials: The structure is a blend of plastic and metal; ribs are a hefty somewhat bendable plastic with metal fittings, but the last ~4" at the tip is a spring steel wire. In the wind, the tip can bend significantly without putting that force on the rest of rib and thus protecting the rest of the rib from breaking. Design: The design is pretty standard for "windproof" umbrellas. That is: relatively flat design, as opposed a cup shape, this allows the wind to more easily "spill" out over the edges. It also has a full circle relief flap which keeps rain out, but allows wind to pass out of the underside and thus put less stress on the ribs. Finally, the canopy is a densely woven synthetic and appears sturdy. The outside color is black, but you can choose a design for the inside, which is a bit fun and different from the staid standard umbrella. It is a bit bulky, slightly more than other similar sized windproof umbrellas, likely due the choice of materials. This is a minor point for me; it will fit in a backpack, messenger bag or tote, but not a purse. ... show more

I can't say enough about this umbrella. It is lightweight and the material feels high quality. It has good coverage from the rain, and it is pretty resistant to the wind. I highly recommend!
