Wow! For the $ you can't go wrong here. Excellent case which rolls up nice and compact. 9 different sizes of roll pin punches which covers any size needed for firearms. I stapled Velcro to the case so I can quickly, easily roll it up and not fight with the strings which are too short to tie quickly and easily. Just remember these are for hollow roll pins. They can't be used on other solid pins. These have a protruding half ball in the centers and a flat lip surrounding the ball. Specifically for roll pins. So make sure you understand what you are buying here. If you need punches with a flat nose buy a standard punch set. Not a roll pin punch set. No need to buy some expensive kit with one of those round pucks with holes in it too. Take a piece of 2x4 and cut off a 4" long piece. Then drill some various holes into it and voila, you have a punch block that is soft so whatever you are hammering won't get damaged. The wood absorbs the impacts rather than your part. Cost of scrap pieces of wood, free. Better than spending $10-$15 for a piece of plastic that wood does for free. ... show more

Used them for an AR-15 build. They don't hold the roll pin, but they work well for driving them in and out. A good basic set.

Update 8/21/17- Added a star and wanted to comment on the great customer service. After seeing my original review seller sent another set for my review which was much better. Still not the best you can buy but very useable for the price paid and much cheaper many others out there. Thanks Rettun for the extra effort. --- end update --- I really don't understand all the rave reviews on these as I make quite a few purchases on Amazon and usually from studying reviews I always come out on top and getting what I expected. These aren't that impressive to me... almost all of them are bent right out of the package new. Maybe my expectations are off for a $12 set of Chinese import punches. They actually look pretty decent and the roll pouch is nice enough but I think I pulled almost every one of them out and rolled them on a flat table to check how true they were. I could see a wobble (some bigger than others) in all of them. Many of them are crooked enough you can see they're bent before rolling them. They're import cheap -but the reviews were so good? I came back to see if maybe I miss read or miss ordered? No, all the 5 star reviews are here. Will they still do ok slightly bent?...or should I send them back? I'm going to guess they'll get the job done for an occasional DIY home gunsmith for a cheap enough price but there's no way they can be 5 stars, something's wrong here. If your an occasional user like me give them a shot for $12, might be all you should be spending for one or two builds and a little mantinance. If your a real gunsmith, training and studying to be one or will use these enough to warrant spending more... I'd say keep looking. ... show more
