    • Work way better than the Astro 900 system
I have been used the Astro 900 system for the past two years for our two dogs and just switched to the 15X system. Much better range and system features. The only future change would like is the option to change the Menu to something other than "start a new hunt". We ride horses and use these collars to manage the dogs if they start chasing an elk or deer. We don't hunt so being able to customize the menu would be welcome. ... show more

    • Attention!!! Do not buy from this provider!!! Paring with handheld not possible?!?No support!!!
I tried with other Alpha handhelds as well. Other collars pair normally. No paring possible with TT 15X and because I never saw the train/ track code the collar is useless. I tried to contact provider and garmin but there is no answer.

Initially I was not sold on this device. We have three German Shorthair Pointers who love to run. We have 40 acres for them to do this, but wanted to be able to keep track of where they were, and correct their location if they were somewhere they should not be. The have great battery life, and fairly easy to get on. Most likely it would be easier if you had a less lively dog then me! The hand held device is fairly complex to use with three dogs, but once you get used to it, it does get much easier. Just takes time to adjust to settings. Now that I am familiar with how things work, much easier and I can control all three dogs with one remote. My true test of this device came last week when my one dog chased a rabbit off our property and I could not get her to come back with me calling. By the time I went into my house to get the remote to see where she was she was over 1/2 mile away! This device saved my dogs life. When I looked at the screen it told me she was in the middle of a swamp that was 1/2 mile from our home, but she was not moving (the device tells you if moving or not) I went out in search of her and it directed me to her location within a few yards. She had gotten herself trapped in long swamp grass and could not move. If she did not have this device I never would have found her related to all the tall grass and her being submerged in water. I would highly recommend this device for active dogs and hunting dogs of all breeds. Gives me reassurance when they have it on! ... show more
