Putting on the collar takes some time, and you have to get used to putting it on and taking it off. Even following the instructions took me an hour to get it to work correctly. I am also a techie, and I am fluent in technology. It's just hard to get a signal and how to get a GPS signal. Once you figure it out, repeating the process is very easy. I still give this item five stars. I do this because my dog was locked up before using the collar. I had to walk that dog two or three times a day. I live on a 10-acre property, but he would go straight to the road. Then, we had to lock him up (he is like 14 pounds). After using the collar, it took us time because the vibration was not enough, and we finally started using a low-grade shock on him. He listened to the shock, and he rarely goes to the road, even when I am not using the collar. This collar saved my dog's life and gave him a new life. He can now be free and without the worry of getting run over. I highly suggest this collar to anyone with a dog caged due to roaming. It's expensive, rugged equipment, and worth my furry friend's freedom. ... show more

I have 3 standard poodles. We go to some national/state parks and they get off leash time in the woods. These pathfinder collars give me 100% peace of mind knowing they can’t be lost. You put the collar on dog. Open app. Turn on the receiver which auto connects to the app. Hold down button on receiver while holding down power button on collar, bam they connect and beep. It’s that easy. I use the mobile geofence at 70 yds usually. It’s extremely accurate. Battery life is insane. We usually walk 2 hours or so after work, these last multiple walks and still show 40-50%. It’s absolutely phenomenal battery life. Offline maps are VITAL for camping and hiking and the pathfinder does it perfectly I love this tracker the three of these I own are some of my most prized possessions, second to my dogs themselves !! No cost is too high for safety, other than liberty! And at 430$, these are an amazing value. ... show more
