Buckle up cuz it's about to get deatiled in here. BUT, this is everything I wish someone would have said about this dress in a review when I was shopping and sick to my stomach at the idea of making a huge mistake. I had many nightmares and nights of interrupted sleep worrying about this dress, lol. For reference I am 5ft 7in tall, I typically wear a size 22/24 or 3xl. I am a 44DD bust and carry most of my weight in my stomach area. I purchased Style 6 in Champagne in a size 22. Right after ordering, the seller contacted me asking for some specific measurements, including bust, waist, hips, hollow to hem, and height with heels if I was wearing them so they could make sure the dress would fit properly. This was such a nice touch and very surprising since it didn't give the option of ordering based on specific measurements. I also requested that they send the dress with the belt detached, since I wasn't sure I wanted to wear it, and they were able to accommodate that request without hesitation. When the dress arrived, I was so pleasantly surprised. First off, the dress is more of a blush color than what I would call champagne, but it was exactly what I was hoping for. Some of the pictures don't show the color very well so I wasn't sure what I was actually going to get. For me, it was the perfect peachy blush and showed off the lace appliques on the skirt really well. The layers in the skirt were so pretty and gave the dress a very dreamy romantic look on the bottom. The last photo is the dress straight from the box with no alterations. The dress fit PERFECTLY everywhere except for the sleeves and the shoulders. Even length-wise, which I was so thankful for because to have this dress hemmed would have been costly due to the horsehair hem. In the end, the only alterations I made to the dress were to take the shoulders up, add a small modesty panel behind the lace v at the bust since it was a little low-cut for my taste and I didn't want anyone to be able to see my undergarment through the lace. I also chose a different belt I had her sew onto the dress. I eventually made the scary decision to CUT THE SLEEVES OFF. It was such a big gamble because I knew there was no going back once I made the first cut. The sleeves are so pretty over the shoulder area and have these beautiful appliques that cascade down the top of the arm. I had the idea that if I cut along the applique, I could keep the beautiful part of the sleeve, turn it into more of a cap sleeve, and also get a unique look. I did this myself with a pair of tiny sewing scissors that allowed me to get up close to the appliques and cut away the mesh fabric and leave it looking finished. When it was done, you couldn't tell it had been cut away at all. I figured there was no reason to pay someone to do what I could do myself for free. When I had my dress altered, the seamstress needed to take the shoulders up because it was too big, so I had her gather the fabric she needed to remove and create a puffed sleeve on the shoulder. In the end, I am SO glad I made these changes because the result was perfect. I also had my seamstress take the extra lace and fabric from the sleeves I cut off and the original belt that came with the dress and make me a custom garter, which turned out absolutely breathtaking. I wore the dress without any type of hoop skirt or crenoline. I purchased a hoop skirt but in the end, I liked the less structured and more flowy look of the skirt without it. Here's the thing, if the best and highest quality everything is most important to you, this is not your dress. It is obviously inexpensive. But if you're like me, and you just want a beautiful wedding dress at a great price to wear for a few hours one day, then you will absolutely NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. ... show more

Update after alterations: My alterations included taking the dress in, hemming about 5 inches, chopping the train, adding boob cups, moving some lace on the skirt, and shortening the straps. I uploaded some pictures after alterations. I'm wearing a petticoat (Grace Karin brand, from amazon) under the dress. 5'4" and wearing flats. Updated review: I ordered a size 6, in ivory, customized with a higher back. (last two photos attached to review.) I gave them very little direction and just asked for the back to be about level with the bust. The custom dress is everything I wanted!! There is more lace on the skirt (maybe a consolation for covid19 related delays). The higher back is much more supportive, even without me zipping it all the way up. The new dress seems very slightly more ivory toned than the first one. I'd call it a soft white rather than a true white like the first order. The lace embroidery on the skirt is placed a little lower on the skirt, so it doesn't look as much like it's cascading down from the bodice. Probably needed to do this because the lace embroidery is in larger pieces. Basically, don't expect it to look exactly like reviewer photos. If you're ordering a petticoat to go with this dress, you'll need one with a smooth or soft top layer. I tried it with a petticoat with stiff netting, and you can see it through the lining of the dress. The dress doesn't need a petticoat, but the extra shape is nice. Original review: I ordered a size 6 in ivory. It is very true to size for wedding dresses. Slightly smaller than street size 6, but not as small as some size 6 wedding dresses I've tried on. My bust measurement is about 35" and my waist is 27". The ivory is very bright white and not ivory at all. Overall, it's a very good quality for the price. But this will not compete with $500+ dresses. The lace is not closely trimmed, you can see the seam at the back of the skirt. The edge of the skirt is not super cleanly cut. There are two layers of tulle and a shiny satin-y lining. If you look closely, your can tell it was cheap. But you have to look closely. The lace itself is a very nice quality. The stitching was done well. The top of the dress has more attention paid to it. The lace is trimmed more carefully. The back of the dress is very low. The v of the straps don't come together before the waist/skirt part. Th entirely open back means you don't get much support in the front. There is a little flexible boning in the front, but it doesn't do much. This dress would be highly improved with additional boning in the front and a slightly higher back (even 2 inches up would help). Additionally, I really think the seller should offer this with a blush lining. It would look great against the white lace and look much more like the product photo. Blush dresses are very popular right now and hard to find at this price point. The bra cups are a slightly awkward shape on me, but my alterations person is going to add some boning and bring the back up to give me more support and make the front more flattering. I am 5'4" and will be wearing flats. I'll need it hemmed about 5 inches (without a petticoat, slightly less with one). There is some extra lace in the front that we will add to the back with additional tulle to help provide the support needed. The full body pic on me has a petticoat underneath. It doesn't make a huge difference in poof, but does give the dress more shape. I'll add more photos after my alterations are done. ... show more

    • Beauty but horrible return process

The dress is beautiful, but the seller service is HORRIBLE, I did like the dress on my body because the shoulder off and when I try to returned had been impossible to get the right return label, please be very sure you will ware it when you buy it . The return process is a deep agony.

The media could not be loaded. I came this close to giving this dress 3 stars… but then the universe stepped in. The moment I stepped out in this gown, the world collectively paused. Strangers gasped. Guests forgot how to breathe. My now-husband looked at me like he was witnessing the final scene of a fairytale he didn’t realize he was starring in. I’ve never had so many random people stop me just to say, “OH MY GOD, THAT DRESS.” It was giving ethereal autumn goddess, Victorian bride, and main-character energy all at once. For a short, intimate wedding like ours, it was absolutely perfect. The lace? Stunning. The color? Magical. The vibe? Immaculate. Sizing tip: Go a size up if you’re blessed in the chest area…trust me, your tatas will thank you. But overall? This dress didn’t just meet expectations… it walked up to them, lifted its skirt, and stomped on them in sparkly bridal heels. I couldn’t be more satisfied. 10/10.
