The dealership left my hood open for 6 months replacing the engine on our 2011 GMC Acadia Denali. Needless to say the hood would no longer stay up. I ordered this replacement hood prop, it was super easy to install, I only needed a small flat head screw driver to pry the caps off the old one, the new one just clicked on in two spots it took five minutes and it stays open now better than ever. Bought to hold up hood on 2007 Saturn Outlook. Installed,almost took off fingers when the hood slammed shut, after installing. Complete and dangerous JUNK

    • This is a bad product.
This is a hood lift. I strongly recommend not buying this product. This lift for a 09 Saturn is not strong enough to hold hood. This is the second one I received because the first one were no good and this one is the same as the first. No good.

    • A little goes a long way
Make sure you know how much spring tension is required, first set was so stiff I couldn’t even compress them
