Both of my kids needed a new trumpet case. I needed something that was inexpensive because they are both in middle school. These work perfectly for that age group. Their trumpets are inexpensive, which is nice because the case is not very stiff. If these were expensive trumpets or if they were in a more advanced class, I would not have ordered a soft trumpet case. Both cases were folded in half in shipping. This was not from USPS, or from Amazon, this bag was folded in half by the seller. I don't recommend doing that in the future if the seller is actually reading these reviews. Now it has a permanent ridge where it should really just be flat canvas. This happened to both cases that I ordered so I'm pretty positive it will happen to all of them. Again, not a huge issue for middle schoolers' trumpet cases, but I would be a little bit more annoyed if these were more expensive trumpets that I needed to be secure in a sturdy case. Bottom line, for the price point, they were perfectly. I only knocked off a star because the cases themselves are permanently bent from shipment. I can see how this would diminish the efficacy of the cases themselves. I will say that both of my kids are really happy with these cases because they are lightweight and make for easy travel. They have to take them with them to school everyday and bring them home everyday and they ride the bus. The hard cases are bulky and awkward. Bought this after the 30+ year old case we ha lost a latch. This fit the trumpet well and is surviving bus rides and school days with a 9 year old. If you're looking for something compact and light or to replace a broken piece this will do the job.

I purchased this case to replace the hard, boxy one that came with the trumpet. My granddaughter picked it out and I was skeptical because it was so inexpensive. However, she really liked it and that was worth the risk. She loves this case and carries it daily to school/practices. It's been on band trips and still looks like new. She's personalized it with charms and has no complaints. I like that it's lightweight and protects her trumpet. I definitely recommend this case. ... show more

Bought this for my son to use instead of the bulky standard issued trumpet case. He likes to ride his bike to school and this case allows him to wear his trumpet in a crossbody fashion over his backpack. It seems really durable and has plenty of room for valve cleaner and other accessories. My kid is really hard on everything and it's lasted a month of round trip bike rides to school. Like many of the reviews for this product, I purchased this because with the long strap and the softer padding it seemed worth checking out. I didn't realize until school was underway that many middle schools don't let kids carry their backpacks throughout the day OR go and retrieve items from their locker except before and after school. So what she needs to have she carries, all day long. Adding a freaking trumpet to that seems like a punchline. The gig bag is as described, it's much less heavy but still padded, her band teacher approved of the switch. Everyone's happier!     • Standard Trumpet sized gig bag, Acceptable for the price
TL;DR version: A decent choice, especially for the price. A few improvements needed, but overall, I'm not sending it back. I plan to use this daily. Check full review below for more details. Full review: I am a trumpet player of over 25+ years. I've had a few gig bags and light weight bags throughout the years. I bought this one at a low price, less than $30. Zippers - Could be a problem (usually are for most bags). Most need to be bigger and thicker for the heavy use. These are medium sized compared to other bags. Size - Perfect for a standard Bb Trumpet. A side pocket for valve oil, cloths, and pencil. Padding - I've seen thinner and thicker in other brands. Neither made much difference in a soft case. A soft case is vulnerable to lots of damage, no matter how thick the padding. Strap and Handles - Strap is the weakest part. Thin metal clasps and hardware. I expect them to break sooner than later. The strap itself is very thin, about an inch wide, which is not very comfortable. Handles are fine, standard for bags of this type. Improvements needed - Get a mouthpiece case. Don't let it float in the main part of the case or it will damage your trumpet, and don't put it with your valve oil or you could get oil residue on it. Zippers and strap hardware - Expect these to wear out first. Overall - A decent choice, especially for the price. ... show more
