This is a handy little glucose meter. It has a diameter about the size of a half dollar. It comes with 50 test strips, 10 lancets and a lancet device. It also comes with an elastic band that holds the test strip container and the lancet device, while the device itself screws onto the top of the test strip bottle. So everything is contained in a single compact package that fits in the palm of your hand. There is also a canvas zipper pouch for storage or travel. The meter is powered by a single non-rechargeable CR2032 battery, so it's a good idea to have a spare battery available for when you need it. There is also a micro USB port however it's for use when uploading stored readings to a computer it's not for charging. It is operated using a single button. When the button is pushed the display shows the current date and time as well as the most recent glucose reading and the date and time it was collected. Successive button pushes show past readings from newest to oldest. To take a reading you simply insert a test strip and wait a few seconds for the blinking blood drop to show in the display. You only need a tiny drop of blood and the meter gives a result in about 3 seconds. I found the readings to be accurate when measured against another glucometer I have. The overall design is clever and at under $30 I think this meter kit bundle is a tremendous value.

This is my absolute favorite glucometer, and I have used several. I used it before getting on Dexcom G7/Stelo and continue to use it as backup. The G7 likes to jump from 80 to a very low blood sugar alert every time I get up from lying to standing, and the Metrix Go will tell me I am 90. At higher blood sugars during the day the Go is generally pretty close to the G7. It's only at night that the G7 trends lower. Compression lows on the back of my arm? The strips are super cheap, compared to other manufacturers. I love that this meter bundles everything you need to use in one piece, and it is so small. Easy to tuck in the pocket of my purse next to the glucose tablets. Before finding this, I was perpetually losing one of the three components when I needed to take my sugar - I'd lose the strip bottle, the lancing device or the meter. One caveat - this design has been around for a while. You have to reset the time when you first start the meter and/or replace the battery, and it starts with 2013.

This is one of the most compact glucose meters I have used. The meter attaches directly to the test-strip container, and the included holder keeps the lancing device with it, so the main pieces stay together instead of getting lost in a bag. Setup and testing are straightforward, with no coding required. It only needs a very small blood sample and displays the result within a few seconds. The screen is small but readable, and the included carrying case makes the complete kit easy to keep in a purse, backpack, or desk drawer. The bundle is also a good value because it includes 50 test strips along with the meter and lancing device. One thing to keep in mind is that it uses TRUE METRIX-specific replacement strips, so it is worth checking their price and availability before committing to the system. Overall, this is an easy-to-use and thoughtfully designed meter that works especially well as a travel kit or backup to a larger home monitor.

Been using this a few weeks now and I love how compact and simplified it all is. The meter itself sits connected atop the container of test strips (just twists onto the lid of the container). Makes it so much easier in terms of portability and fewer components to misplace. It also comes with a small pouch that can hold everything including 50 lancets. Fits nicely in my bag, dashboard or even my pocket when I have to. It tests within an acceptable range (around +/- 8 when compared to my other 2 meters). I don't use the calendar function so I can't attest to that aspect. But this has now become my go-to meter both at home and away.

With that said, I'm impressed with this TRUE METRIX GO Meter Kit Bundle (see picture). Easy to use glucose monitor with strips. It is within a few mg/dLs compared to my other glucose monitor so I believe it is accurate. It came with everything, to include a carrying pouch. At ~$27, it is inexpensive but I'm not sure how accurate the readings will hold over time.

Amazingly small, well designed and easy to use glucose monitor. Definitely a great value at this pricepoint. This kid includes well written manuals as well as a fold out full color quick start guide that got us up tai speed in well under five minutes. The kit includes a generous set of test strips in a neat little container which allows the monitor clicked onto the cap, and an automatic lancet with additional blades, as well as a sleek sturdy little zippered case to carry it all discreetly, super portable! There’s also a printed log book to help keep track of your results. This gives the exact same results as larger, bulkier prescribed monitor. This is extremely easy to use and virtually painless. It also thankfully requires a very small sample size, making it much neater and quicker to use and has created no visible wounds, so recovery and healing time seem instantaneous. We are very pleased with this kit and highly recommend it. AAA Merchandise and Experience!!

I am very impressed with the True Metrix Go meter. This is an excellent meter for anyone with diabetes to have for traveling or even keeping in an office. The kit comes with everyting you need to check blood sugar. A small monitor, carrying case, a velcro case protector, lancet holder and strip vial all come conviently in one box. You will need to buy more strips and lancets but you have enough for a few readings. The meter works well and read accurately when compared to my other meter. It was very easy to use with no coding. The directions were clear and results read fast. I think this is a good quality set and a good value for peace of mind when on the go. I don't have to worry about not having a meter when on the go or that I might lose something that goes with my at home meter while out. The pouch fits easily into a purse or beauty bag. I would recommend this meter.

This blood glucose meter is quite a bit smaller than the one I used to use, which makes it SO much more convenient to travel with. With this kit, you get everything you need, including your meter, lancet, test strips, and a carrying case to hold everything. Most importantly, so far this meter seems accurate. I compared it to readings from my old meter, and am also pretty familiar with what my readings look like. This meter is well worth the price. Luckily, the replacement strips are not too pricey. This has become my main 'go-to' glucose meter, especially when I'm away from home.
