  • Arthritis relief!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I have been having aching hands for the past couple of months. I couldn't decide between this and the DreamTime Healing Touch Hand Cozys so I bought both for some heat therapy. I'm keeping both...the total cost of both items ($54.03) seems pretty reasonable, especially considering how much they help. This item, the Conair True Glow Heated Mitts, provides the constant heat. Some have mentioned that it gets really hot. My experience has been that if I start with my hands inside when I plug in, the mitts don't feel too hot. When I first used it, I turned on to warm up without my hands inside...that time I noticed it was pretty hot but I'm sure that's because I didn't let my hands gradually warm up with the gloves to get used to the heat. It's kind of like dropping an egg into a pot of boiling water vs starting with it in room temperature water and then putting it on the stove. Now, the reason I kept the DreamTime Hand Cozyz. I microwaved those mitts but as many other reviewers for that item have noted, they don't stay warm as long as these. The pros of the HandCozy are that the scented herb packets are soothing and seem to give off a moist heat. In general, the HandCozys are more snuggly feeling with the velvet liners. When the heat wore off, I took the scented packets out of the velvet casing and put in the Conair mitts. Best of both worlds! Someone said the Conair mitts are too big but I disagree. They are roomy enough to slide in one of the packets AND for me to do my hand stretching exercises at the same time. An added bonus is that my hands feel super soft. I'm totally addicted to the heat therapy that both of these products provide together. ... show more

  • Make good massage lotion bottle warmers.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I bought these to warm massage bottles. I did not want to warm bottles sunk in drippy warm/hot water. I also have had the expensive, stainless steel, professional warmers, that never melt the bottles, but barely get the lotion room temperature. The Conair Mitts are by far a superior way to go. These Conair mitts have 3 levels of heat. The first is a little low. The 2nd is good, and the 3rd will melt the bottles enough that their shape will be distorted and eventually useless. I cut tops off from the feet of cotton socks, to use the the tops to insulate the bottles. Just slide the bottles into the cotton sleeve you have devised and then place the sleeved bottle in the mitt, Place the mitt upright in a small box (I later opted for an old crock pot ceramic liner found at a yard sale, instead of a cardboard box), just big enough to place the two mitts upright with a folded hand towel between the two mitts to keep the mitts from heating up too much because they are touching. YOU MUST NOT screw the lids on when warming them, or the heated lotion will expand up and out spewing inside or outside the mitt, according to how deep you place the bottles. Just set the lid on loosely, and when ready to use the bottle of lotion, screw them on completely. I wad up the foot portions of the socks that I cut off, and stuff them into the bottom of the mitts to spread the mitts out to stabilize their upright position and keep the bottle from sliding down too far. Actually, I have a half dozen pairs of socks invested for this, so I can wash them in rotation. ALSO, I plugged the mitts into a timer that starts heating up the bottles 30 minutes before I arrive at the clinic, and turns off 30 minutes before closing time. . May sound complicated but it actually is easy. I am no longer messing with how to heat bottles! As Forrest Gump noted: "That's good. One less thing." ... show more

  • Great for sore hands!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I got these as a therapeutic treatment for my sore hands. I was going to an OT and she would wrap my hands in hot towels before we started, and the heat made such a difference that I wanted something I could use at home. These are perfect -- I look forward to my "hot hands" session every night, and it has really helped the soreness. Having the heat all around my hands is much more effective than putting them on a heating pad, and I don't have to keep reheating anything -- just plug in and relax. So I can't speak to how these work as a spa treatment, but they work great for heat therapy! ... show more

  • Waste of Money--Barely Any Heat on the Highest Setting
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
UPDATE: I did receive some money back, but I had to go through Conair, themselves, and it took several weeks to receive a check. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am so disappointed in this product, and I did not realize there are no returns! Total waste of money. :( I literally received it yesterday, and now I'm stuck with it. AND I have to find something better, which means more money. I have a rare connective tissue condition called systemic sclerosis (which you can see in the unfiltered photo--that is not from the mitts), and I need to keep my hands warm to keep them flexible and prevent them from permanently becoming stuck in the shape of claws. I thought this product would be an amazing tool for helping me do that--easier, cheaper, less messy, and more efficient than daily paraffin wax treatments. Its seemed like a perfect solution. But I am blown away by how little heat is emitted from this product. I don't know what other people are talking about saying that the mitts get too hot--on the highest setting, you can barely tell they're on!!! My normal large heating pad is at least 3x warmer with consistent heating, and I assumed this would have equivalent temperatures. What little heat is generated in these mitts is also focused one side of the mitt only, and the heat is not constant. The best product I have found so far are the Ocoopa hand warmers, but those are devices you have to hold in your own hands, and they only heat the parts of your palms and fingers that are touching the heated areas. Maybe these mitts are enough heat if you need as little as possible. But if you have systemic sclerosis, find a better heated mitt product. ... show more

  • works ok.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Heats unevenly. Thought it had a timer for auto shut off but it doesn't. The cord connecting the two pads is too short.
