    • More effective than Affresh

I’ve used Affresh tablets to clean my washer since I’ve had it and they seemed to work fine although after using a couple of tablets the washer drum would smell a bit musty. This month I had a torture test because my front load washer suddenly had standing water in the front seal/gasket area. I was thinking I might have to call a plumber but chatGPT told me it was likely clogged drainage holes in the seal that I could clean myself. No noticeable blockage in front of the drains so I figured they needed to have sludge cleaned from the inside with chemicals. I ran two cycles of Affresh and the standing water went down a bit so it seemed to have some benefit but the clog wasn’t broken. I saw this brand on Amazon and saw it had a claim about limescale so I thought the cleaning agents might be stronger than Affresh. Put one of these tabs in the clean cycle last night and the standing water was GONE this morning!!! I compared the ingredient lists and this brand does have more actives than Affresh. I may still use Affresh occasionally for lighter cleaning but these tabs definitely are more powerful to break up sludge or clogs. After running one cycle with these tablets, I noticed a HUGE difference. The amount of pet hair and residue that came out of the drum was honestly kind of shocking. This product worked very well in cleaning my washing machine. My machine had a musty smell when not in use. I have always left the lid open so the machine could dry after use but it was starting to smell musty. I used one tablet & my machine now smells new.
