I bought this cable to sit between my Astro Mix Amp and my LucidSound LS40s. the stock 3.5mm cable from Lucid sound was only 3ft and was not braided. needed an upgrade. what I found tho, is that this cable will deliver a VERY high pitched squeal to my headset if bumped or not turned/rotated to a specific angle. I've never had ANY other cable do that, and i've used at least 4 other cables/headsets with this and another Astro Mix amp. This is the only cable to cause the random and unexpected racket. The best part of this cable is the 90º offset on one end. Somehow it makes a big difference when I plug it into my 8" Galaxy Tab. It's just a much better fit, and doesn't protrude the way a straight-out end would, the way the last one was when I dropped the tablet (just six inches, thank God) and bent the plug on the old cable, ruining it. I thought I'd damaged the tablet, but the case it was in protected it. A good investment. It's nice and flexible, or as the ladies say, "Bendy". It appears to be very good quality; we'll see how long it lasts - it's going to see a lot of use. Hokay, that's my original review; here's a short addendum - I've knocked a star from the original rating due to how this cable twists itself in loops. I'm NOT twirling it, or even moving it much, but it always ends up twisted into a bunch of loops that really tangle up my earbuds. Granted, the sound is great, but this is sometimes a real hassle when you hafta mess with a mess, and all you wanna do is listen to some music, or play a game. Not a dealbreaker, but not an ideal condition to put up with all the time, either. That was at two months; now at five months, it's worse! With every use, I hafta take at least two minutes to untangle the mess this cord becomes. it's unreal. I'll never get another,that's for sure! I'm going to order a replacement - with a different brand, of course. Caveat Emptor, people. Avoid this one, unless you're fond of spaghetti messes. ... show more

The cable does not work unless I have it partially out of the headphones, which makes the sound quality extremely poor. I must turn the volume up high to get decent sound to come through the headphones. I haven’t tried it in my vehicle yet to see if the cable will work better but I shouldn’t have to wait to use it in a car to test its quality and reliability. ... show more

Updated Aug. 17, 2021. On seeing my negative review, the company wrote to me suggesting return and replacement. By then I'd realized it was too time-consuming to package the thing back up and drive half an hour or more to get to and from a shipping facility—not worth spending the time on an inexpensive item, so I just discarded the cable. Then without my having asked for this, they wrote that they've refunded the purchase price. I wouldn't have asked for a refund unless I'd returned it. So I appreciate their having done this. __________ I bought this for a more convenient connection between a laptop and an Oontz battery-powered speaker. Or sometimes between a mobile phone and the speaker. The right-angle plug was pretty appealing. Did it work? Nope, not on either the phone or the laptop, and it didn't matter which plug I used in which socket on any of the devices. The cable that came with the battery-powered speaker: it doesn't have a right-angle connector, so it's less convenient—but it works without any problem. So I'll be getting a refund/replacement if I can figure out which other cable with a right-angle plug might be a better one. Hopefully there is one Out There that actually works. ... show more

Bought the $10 and $8 versions of this cable and the cheaper one is better for me. Using as a replacement cable for my Razer Blackshark V2 Pro and the more expensive one just doesn't work. Doesn't fit properly into headset so volume is super low and only works in one ear. The cheaper model works perfectly and identical to the Razer OEM cable. I think the housing is just too thick ... show more

Perfect for rigging my Rode Videomic NTG to a Zhiyun Smooth 4. It's long enough so allow various mic mount positions without snag during operation. First thing I noticed about this cable is that it feels very high quality. The plugs (grips) are made of metal and has a nice colored finish. The AmazonBasics 3.5mm cables has plastic plugs with a metallic coating that feels like they will chip away anytime. But not these. I also really like the soft braided sheath. The cable itself is a little heavier than the average for its size, but definitely more durable. I prefer a braided sheath like this because it feel like a shoe-lace and doesn't stick things like how a rubber coated cables typically do. I also picked up the 3.5mm Cable Creation TRRS extension cable. Highly recommended! ... show more
