    • Amazing chest/back protector, but watch out for sizing
This is the best chest/back protector I've tried for DH MTB'ng so far. The Leatt was good as well, but offers less protection and has more cutouts, leaving more of your torso exposed. Plus the TLD version comes down farther in the back and front. The TLD one is just better in every way as well. The only thing you have to watch out for is the size. This thing only comes in 3 sizes, which is probably 1 too few. XS/SM, then MD/LG, then XL/XL2, nothing in between. So if you're like me, and in between sizes, you might want to think about sizing down, not up. I wear a size L in literally everything. But their is no size L. Only Medium/Large. And after using their online size chart, decided to go with the XL/2XL, and that was the wrong call. It's way too big! I need the MD/LG size. So if your at the upper end of a size range and bottom range of the bigger size, just go with the smaller one. Unless you have a really thick/wide torso/stomach. Protection, fit, comfort is top notch. Has great venting, so you don't get too hot. The padding is amazing and has some flex to it. Thick and protective, but not so thick that you feel like a mummy. Plus TLD products usually just look cooler. Their designs are killer. Now that's winter and I'm not riding, I'm going to wait till Spring to purchase the correct MD/LG size. But cant' recommend this enough. So much better coverage than the Leatt (even though the Leatt version is also very high quality and good). ... show more

Really solid construction. Fits perfectly and easily adjustable. I’m 6’2 215lbs, XL fits great. Barely notice your wearing it. Offers nice standard protection.
