Arrived on time. I ordered M/L per TLD web fit guide. I have 7 1/4 hat size. The adjustable band: dial it open all the way, place on your head, then crank it tight to your head, back off a click for comfort. All told, the knob only had 3/4 of aturn to tighten. That being said, I suggest if your hat size is beyond mine, try a L/XL. This helmet construction, fit ,finish, is nice and better than other nicer brands I shopped in brick mortar stores. Visor adjustable but not by much- center knob tough to manipulate with fat fingers. The seller had a sticker with a retail floor price of $169. Amazon price about $77. ... show more

Out of the five or so helmets I've recently tried, this has the most impressive padding. It's laid out nicely inside the helmet (no MIPS retention clips showing) and is noticably thicker. The helmet itself has a sleeker look overall i.m.o. It's been a challenge to find a comfortable fit for my head shape, which I now know is a little more oval, and though this helmet isn't the lightest, it still feels fairly comfortable during try on. Only complaint is that the strap guide is adjustable forward and backward but due to design, cannot be adjusted lower or higher. I'm a small person and the plastic strap guides cover part of my ear lobes. Returning only bc the gray is not as attractive as I'd hoped. ... show more

It's all about safety - and how best to protect your head. If you're riding cross-country or more aggressive trails you should think carefully how best to protect your head!! Troy Lee Designs offers helmets, like the one I purchased, at a great price point. I don't want to gamble on whether or not a Brand X helmet will work when I'm miles away from the nearest trailhead. This is a great helmet. It is a little heavier than some but it is very plush inside. It also provides great coverage for an open face helmet and vents very well.

This is a big upgrade from a older giro helmet i had. It's worth it to protect your head. This is definitely more protective than what i had, and looks good too. Xl-XXL fits me great. Head size is 23-3/4 inches or 60cm.
