  • Poor quality control!
Style: BDCF1 Cross BDC
I ordered this scope even though I havent heard of them and they are made in china. For the price including the scope mount, I figured I'd give them a chance. I was excited to put a scope on my new 22 mag, when I ordered this. The first one came and the rail mount scope rings are way out of spec. I've ordered chinese scope rings that had the same problems and sent them back and got precise ones so I figured Id try again. Amazon sent me a replacement the day fter the return so I was excited... now disappointed again the same issue! And its not the rail, because my $200 american defense scope rail rings fit just fine. Very unhappy with Triton scope, drop your price $60 and stop including the chinese mill scope mount. Otherwise I can buy vortex with lifetime guarantee and never had an isssue with their scopes. ... show more

  • Well made, and worth a try.
Style: BDCF1 Cross BDC
So far, this is a very solid LPVO. I received it 3 or so days ago and sighted it in this afternoon. Yesterday I used a level and some blue loctite to mount it to the rifle. The reticle is installed perfectly, and although it looks very large in some of the photos, it is the same size as pretty much everything else out there. The "+" is as big as it should be. It is very well made, and I'm grateful for the included cantilever mount for additional savings. This is also a very solid unit, and the 4 fasteners per ring is definitely enough for anything firing 5.56 or .308. If I needed one for my HK91, I would buy a second one. I purchased the 10x model, assuming that things would be dark at the highest magnification, especially since its an LPVO and the objective lenses are small. There is absolutely no distortion at low or high magnification. I am normally brand-loyal to Vortex and Holosun, but needed an optic during a time when funds weren't available to (responsibly) pick up a "mid-high end" FFP LPVO. I took a chance with Trident, and I'm very happy I did. After unpacking and installing the sight, I feel like Trident might be one of those relatively new companies that has the ability to go the distance. Once I give it a few more months of work, I will probably buy a few more for other rifles if it works out. If I needed to make suggestions, it would be to offer these in green to appeal to people who are color blind, and to make the LED or whatever a little brighter. It wasn't really needed in full daylight, but it would have been better for it to stand out a little more against targets for faster acquisition. ... show more

  • Looks good so far
Style: BDCF1 Cross BDC
I can't comment on the reliability yet but so far it looks good. The scope mount is included in the box. The reticle is green and red with 6 brightness settings. It is bright in the day light. I would prefer if the middle of the ranging reticle lit up as well. The reticle is similar to a vortex. 1x10 magnification looks pretty and crisp. Good impression so far for a budget scope. ... show more

  • Usable but not amazing.
Style: BDCF1 Cross BDC
It's not a bad scope I just don't like the cross reticle. If zoomed in it gets overwhelming at 100 yard to make pin point accurate shots. If it was a dot or an arrow like some others I think it would be better. Instead of covering the aiming points with thick lines. I know my guns accurate but it's hard to check overall accuracy with grouping. Either you're shooting at 2x or you're guessing where your aiming point is under the thick bar of an etched +. Both options end up proving your guns 3 MOA when you're certain it can do much better. A better center point that doesn't cove the 1 inch dot on the target would be easy and much better. ... show more

  • Scope is ok, turret enumeration is backwards, zero documentation and support included
Style: BDCF1 Cross BDC
This scope came with no manual or documentation of any value. There are no zeroing instructions, no reticle subtensions, nothing. Any scope with a BDC should be publishing their reticle subtensions because "standard 223 ballistics" doesn't mean anything to someone (like me) who iives at altitude. Also, the scope itself had the enumeration on the elevation turret printed backwards ... numbers should increase as you raise the elevation, and this scope had it literally backwards. Glass is fine, seems to be holding zero but time will tell. The lack of support and documentation makes me wish I'd spent a little more and gotten something from a more well known company. I contacted the company by it support email (since no one bothered to answer the support phone or return messages there) and got one boilerplate-ish return message and no followups. As a small scope company, if you want to succeed, you need to go out of your way to make it happen and this isn't the case here. ... show more

Style: BDCF1 Cross BDC
Absolutely love this LVPO!!! It holds zero perfectly under the recoil of a 16" .308 gas gun!!! The glass is clear and the integrated throw lever is a great touch. The capped turrets are the only thing I'd change but nobody is dialing in a shot with a LVPO because that's NOT their intended purpose. At this price point you should not pass up the opportunity to join the LVPO club!!! Yes there are more expensive options and if you have the money to throw at your weapon, more power to you ... but if you want a serviceable scope with all the options needed to enjoy a range day or some friendly competitive shooting this is definitely the answer!!! ... show more

  • Great scope for the price.
Style: BDCF1 Cross BDC
Great scope. Got it for my rifle and it's been on point since I put it on and sited it in. Battery life is a bit on the short side but it's got a good magnification
