  • Durable, reliable, always on serious use sight.
Style: MRO with Lower 1/3 Co-Witness Mount
This is the best value serious use red dot sight on the market. The field of view is much better than a t1, t2 or pro. The glass has a slight greenish tint, and the fishbowling often talked about is very nominal as to be unnoticeable while shooting fast. The dot is very usable with night vision settings and gets bright enough for midday use. The adjustments are slightly mushy, but they are set and forget and do not have caps to loose and will not get bumped on accident. The brightness adjustment is ideal as it can be operated with either hand. Battery life test is in progress, I keep in constant on at setting 4. The included mount is solid, the only reason to upgrade would be for a QD mount. When switching from this optic to a smaller one you feel as though you are looking through a tube. The 2moa dot allows speed up close and precision out to max effective range. Dot is crisp and clear. Overall, this is a great serious use rds, and at the price only competes with the pro, while punching above its weight at optics like the aimpoint comp and t series micro dots. ... show more

  • Thumbs Up!
Style: MRO with Low Mount
First impression, it looked bigger on YouTube. Overall it looks solid, has a small form factor, and fits well on any rail I've put it on. With the current mount, it sits too low to be used with any backup sights on an AR. There is a slight magnification, not a true 1x optic. To me that provides a nice clear view of my target. As soon as my Ultimak M9 and RS AK306 arrive I will update this review for Yugo NPAP customers. Compared to the Aimpoint, the money saved with this optic allows you to buy additional required mounts for your intended rifle platform. Update Nov 2016: For me , the MRO works best with the RS Regulate mount. I've put about 1000 rounds through this. No point of aim, point of impact shift. The MRO night vision settings work well. Still impressed with this optic. ... show more

  • I love it!
Style: MRO with Lower 1/3 Co-Witness Mount
It's a Trijicon. I love it! I have extended my previous review from December 2016 because I have purchased my second MRO, my second ACOG TA31 and my first RMR Type 2 adjustable LED these last few days, not mentioning the night sights, HD iron sights I have in my handguns. I stand for Trijicon as they have the best sights and optics ever and also because it is a matter of live and death. with this being said, I am trusting my life to Trijicon. So my best tip is: Train, train, train as your life depends on it. The ACOG and the RMR (45 degrees) are going together as main and backup sights on my new project. New update, my “new” MRO was an open box sold as new. Beware of some sellers offering big sales on opened boxes and showroom items. I’m waiting for another MRO, it will be a Patrol version, I will keep you posted soon. 9/23: This is an update, the good news is: I got the MRO Patrol and it is absolutely awesome! On the other hand, last 6/27 my sister surprised me with a late birthday gift, an MRO purchased “new” from Woot; long story short, we got scammed with a used RDS in a scratched open trijicon box, the worse was to find that 1 of the holes had the threads gone. Seller is no longer in Amazon… be careful guys who you are buying from! These experiences made me rethink about my prime membership ... show more

  • A solid product if you need it, but cheaper alternatives work just as well for most
Style: MRO with Low Mount
MRO is the solution if you want rapid target acquisition in all lighting conditions, and don't care about magnification. In that sense, it's great primarily for home defense shotguns and carbine-length rifles. Perhaps the most significant downside of the MRO is that optically, it's OK, but not particularly amazing: it's a very simple contraption that uses a reflection of a side-mounted LED - and so, if you crank it up to maximum brightness in a dark place, you're going to see a lot more glare than you'd expect from a scope. You will have more glare if you mount the MRO closer to your eye, so where possible, you want to mount it closer to the business end of a gun. Still, given this, it stands to reason to ask yourself if it's worth paying $400 or so for this product, when quite a few other brand-name products of this kind are available closer to $100-$200. The main argument in favor of paying more is that this product is just ridiculously tough, with a hefty cast-metal body that likely can be dropped on hard surfaces from a good height without breaking. In addition to many similarly-looking tube-style red dots, the MRO also faces some competition from the LED-powered variants Trijicon RMR, which have the huge benefit of automatic on-off and brightness functionality, saving you time on fiddling with the knobs (although works best for firearms that are stored in the dark); and with cheap open-frame red dots, such as Burris - which tend to fly off shotguns and generally don't hold up well to abuse - but don't obstruct your view as much. ... show more
