This table is super heavy. Is doesn't seem to be real wood. I chose it for its height and size, given the way I have my room set up and the sizes of my furniture. I haven't used it long enough to comment on the scratch resistant feature but I will, if/when I need to. It was relatively easy to assemble. It seems to be incredibly sturdy.
