This desk is a like a kit. You put it together. It comes with instructions which we did not find difficult to follow. It was well packaged with great corner protectors and arrived with no shipping damage. I worried about the top being in more than one piece, but the adjoining pieces do not interfere with aesthetics or functionality of the desk. We did an inventory of parts and pieces as was suggested. It took about 4 hours to assemble the filing cabinet and 3 hours to assemble the desk. I found this desk to be a good size for home use, functional and far more attractive than anything I could find locally. And the price is reasonable. Note that the filing drawer is small as is the drawer for pencils and supplies. Also, one cannot add a center drawer as the frame prevents that. I agonized over purchasing such a large item online. And I admit that sometimes negative reviews do influence me. But I'm happy with this purchase and do not hesitate to recommend it. ... show more

Not for the furniture builder novice unless you really want to challenge yourself. The desk and filing cabinet and draws are very nice. The filing cabinet is kind of small and will only hold a limited amount of files, but it works well. The desk is very sturdy and larger than what I expected in a good way. It does have an iron bar around the edge so be careful when choosing a clip on light. I am very handy and did it all myself and took about 6 houses to do the desk and filing cabinet. All screw holes line up perfectly and all parts were included so no complaints. In summary, worth the price but be warned it was a bear to put together. One last thing, one wheel lock was broken and when I called support they were amazingly responsive and said just take a picture and it will be replaced.     • Mislabeled parts on cabinet

The one star is not for the desk itself, it’s for the mislabeling of all of the parts for the cabinet. The desk went together nicely and all parts were included. I like it and it seems sturdy. The file cabinet that came in a separate box was a nightmare. At first I thought there were 5 missing pieces, but it turned out that all of the parts and hardware were mislabeled. Also, there were pieces included that weren’t in the manual or list of parts. It would appear that they changed the parts but didn’t send an updated manual. My brother (engineer type) was able to “wing” it and put it together, but most people would not have been able to. Now that it’s together, the cabinet itself is nice. Again, the one star isn’t for the desk and cabinet but for the mislabeling of parts and instruction manual. ... show more

First, I would like to say I do not usually leave reviews for products and this is a product review but more so a seller review as well. The desk is very solid and looks very nice for the price. Do not expect a mahogany executive desk set for the penthouse and you will be well pleased. It is very functional and very easy to put together. The shippers treated it like a rag doll yet the packaging was sufficient enough to protect it from any damage. Now, on to the real reason I am writing. I wrote with a question about only one package arriving and got a quick response from the seller and had the second tracking number in a few hours. I also sent pictures of the rough boxes and the seller said if there were any issues let them know and they would promptly fix the issue. The media could not be loaded. The desk and cabinet themselves are wonderful…. However my initial shipment was missing the hardware. The cabinet section came in after maybe 3 days, followed by the desk a week later. Instructions for both pieces were great and easy to follow. The cabinet came with all the fixing but my desk was missing the package with nuts, bolts, etc. The box was torn as if someone else was missing hardware so they took it from my box. I contacted customer support to get a replacement hardware pack and it was a long process. Made the initial call. Then had to confirm shipping via email the next day. They responded the following day with “if you’d like tracking info, please reach out after 10-15 days”. Waited 10 days then reached out for tracking which was sent the following day. The packet was coming from China so another week goes by. Once it hit the states it came in about 4 days. All in all it took about a month from the time i ordered until it was complete.
