I liked this piece so much, I bought a second one days later. I was a bit hesitant since it had so few reviews but I am glad I took the risk. This is a bit complicated to put together. I'm glad I followed instructions and didn't tighten the bolts until the end since I had to redo a couple of sections. The second wasn't as bad since I had a guide. I am fairly mechanically inclined as I have put every piece of furniture I own together myself. If you aren't so inclined, this may be a struggle. First piece took over two hours, the second took almost 2 but I was somewhat watching tv. It's very heavy and wasn't fun bringing up to my second floor condo by myself (140 lbs, 5'5" female, late 30's). If you don't have decent muscle mass, have someone help you move it at all times to avoid risk of injury. Both boxes were super beat up but both arrived with no damage. It had a ton of styrofoam which I hate but it did a really good job protecting it during transit since its large, heavy, and awkward. Unit does scratch fairly easy so beware dragging anything across it. Seems to do well with a bit of water here and there. I added the lights which I also bought from Amazon. My plants seem to like it too. Small design flaw, one bolt on each unit won't screw all the way in. I thought it was due to user error initially but I think ultimately something was messed up at the factory. I added the photos to show this. Please don't mind the gnat traps. I love plants and unfortunately they often come with them and these help tremendously (also bought on Amazon).

Overall, I am very satisfied with this shelf despite a couple of roadblocks. Firstly, a shelf arrived pretty heavily damaged (likely during shipping), and it did not come with enough gold screws. I couple quick emails to customer service and they kindly offered to send me replacements. Second, I can understand why people may have had difficulty putting this together. The main point to remember is that ORIENTATION MATTERS. There are a couple of bars with 3 holes in each side. Some of the holes even appear to be evenly spaced (longest bar.. #7, I believe). They are NOT evenly spaced and the direction in which these are installed is very important. Be sure to align the holes in this particular bar with the holes in the main frame. There will be space for the shelf to slide into the assembly. Don't fret... you will more than likely need to go back a step or two to rearrange some of the bars. It's pretty much inevitable since the instructions don't specify anything in regards to the orientation of any of the pieces. I had no issues fitting any of the screws into their respective holes, and it all fit together properly in the end. When all is said and done, the finished product looks amazing, the shelves are glossy and beautiful, and it feels overall very sturdy (for my purposes... books, decor, etc.).

I'm disabled and old, but I managed to put this together by myself. It's sturdy snd looks just like the picture. But the instructions are awful. Each step has 2 or 3 steps to it. There are holes in the 'sticks' that aren't pictured in the instructions, and it matters. There's a QR code for an instructional video, but no video for this model. I had to take things apart and put them back together 4 or 5 times. Last week I put together something much more complicated and it was easier because it had good instructions. Also all the hardware was in one bag, unlabeled.

These look great! I really like them a lot. I like the different levels and sizes of the shelves. It’s also quite sturdy. The only problem I have with these is they are very difficult to put together. I bought two and the first one took 2 days because I got frustrated. The second one only took an hour. The assembly instructions are only diagrams. Even with all the assembly frustration I would still recommend these.

The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love the shelf. Agree that the instructions aren’t great. Was pretty confused putting it together and had to take apart and switch multiple times. But I love it so much. I want to order another one, so the complicated assembly wouldn’t stop me from buying it again.

First the instructions are terrible and it was so frustrating to put together. Next the gold screws wouldn’t fit into most of the plastic pieces and when trying to screw one in the plastic piece broke. Then we are trying to put the metal bars in and could get them to align with the holes in the wood because they were just to tall for the space. This was a nightmare to put together and it’s not that sturdy of a shelf. It looks okay but that’s about all.

I was expecting these to be relatively poor quality, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I ta actually quite well built and looks good. The instructions could have been a tad clearer but it went together easily. I just had to disassemble and flip pieces around a couple times because it wasn't clear from the diagrams and instructions which way things were supposed to be facing and connecting. But, I've had to deal with much worse instructions in the past
