I bought this 70mm aperture refractor telescope for casual stargazing with my kids, and we’ve all been loving it! The setup was surprisingly easy – took less than 10 minutes right out of the box. It comes with everything you need to get started, including two eyepieces and a phone adapter which is a fun bonus. The image quality is clear and bright for a telescope in this price range. We’ve been able to see the moon’s craters in great detail and even got a glimpse of Jupiter and its moons. It’s lightweight and portable, so we can take it to the backyard or on camping trips without any hassle. The tripod is decent for beginners, although a little wobbly at times, but for the price, it’s completely reasonable. Overall, I highly recommend this telescope for beginners, kids, or anyone looking to dip their toes into astronomy without breaking the bank.

I bought this telescope for my son’s birthday, and we’ve all ended up enjoying it as a family! The 70mm aperture gives us a super clear view of the moon’s surface, and we were even able to spot Jupiter’s moons on a clear night. Setup was surprisingly easy — no tools needed — and the instructions were very beginner-friendly. The included phone adapter and wireless remote are a huge bonus. We’ve been able to take some really cool pictures right from our phones. It’s lightweight and compact enough to take on camping trips, which makes it perfect for stargazing on the go. For the price, this is an excellent telescope for beginners or anyone just getting into astronomy. Highly recommend as a gift or family activity — it’s educational and a lot of fun!

In writing this review, I had to rant about egregious way that many telescopes are designed, specifically the lever aiming system. While I believe this frustration to be entirely justified, it's also not entirely fair to blame this particular manufacturer, and for that reason I'm not subtracting it from my score, but it is massively impacting the enjoyability and results from working with it. PROS: This telescope has a lot of quality parts, especially for the price. You can achieve some good views and pictures, and the setup is intuitive. I've been able to get some compelling compelling glimpses of astral bodies with pretty good clarity. The phone attachment works pretty well and helps you take compelling pictures, and monitoring through a screen is much easier than squinting into the eyepiece. I also like and appreciate the inclusion of remote tech so that you don't bump the whole thing while taking pictures. CONS: First, the center of gravity is too high for the tripod. It's far too top-heavy and wants to fall over. This wouldn't be a problem if the tripod legs would just extend out further, so this feels like a very avoidable issue. It doesn't cause wobbling, necessarily, but it certainly doesn't help. I've had a few times where moving the adjustment lever caused the whole thing to start to fall over, which is pretty crazy. It should feel sturdy at least 30% more sturdy than it does. Secondly, the lever system for aiming the lens is an ABSOLUTE JOKE. To call this design antiquated is an insult to antiquity. I cannot tell you how infuriating it is to finally catch a glimpse of what you're trying to zoom into, only to have the whole the BOUNCE back to where it was. In order to stabilize on an object, you have to pull this clunky, friction-riddled system PAST what you're aiming for in the hopes it will settle back to where it needs to be. The fact that we don't have simple adjustment knobs instead of this catastrophe is concerning. This design, as a whole, has to be done away with. The lever works fine for large-scale adjustments, but for fine-tuning your angle it's beyond infuriating, especially at higher zooms. I'm keeping the telescope for all the top parts, but will have to look at implementing my own alternative to this insane aiming system that has to be done away with.

Great Telescope for Beginners and Family Fun! I bought this telescope recently, and it’s been an amazing experience from day one. The setup was quick and easy — no tools required — and the instructions were clear and beginner-friendly, which made the whole process stress-free. The image quality really impressed me. The 70mm aperture provides sharp, clear views of the moon, and on a clear night, we were even able to see Jupiter’s moons! It’s a great way to get kids (and adults!) excited about space and science. The included phone adapter and wireless remote are such great additions — we've taken some beautiful photos directly from our phones. Plus, the telescope is lightweight and compact, making it easy to take along on camping trips or backyard stargazing nights. While the tripod is a bit short for taller users, it still works well for our needs. Overall, this telescope offers excellent value for the price. It’s perfect for beginners, families, or anyone looking for a fun and educational hobby. Highly recommend!!

I was so excited to get this before the weekend! This is a great beginner telescope. The directions made it so easy to set up. They have a wonderful video instructions so you know exactly how to put it together. This is great for stargazing in the backyard perfect for children and beginner adults that want to stargaze I love the feature that you can attach your phone and get some pictures of the stars, the only negative I would say that the stand is a little short, so make sure you have a table or a great place to set it on top of. Although the short is great for kids, make sure that you can keep it on their level for the price and the quality this is a great beginner telescope for anybody who’s just getting into looking at the stars and moon.

My telescope did not come with any instructions. No manual for assembly or use. We were able to figure it out but it was missing the manual unfortunately.
