I debated for quite awhile whether or not to purchase this shelf. Now, I feel silly. This unit has a fairly narrow profile but due to its construction, it holds a great amount. I placed it in front of my kitchen window and it blends beautifully with the frame. It holds a tremendous number of mason jars and other containers of spices and grains, as well as oversized tools for food prep. It is perfect for a true cooks kitchen. I found it extremely sturdy. This came today in a very heavy package. I hot all the parts out, verified everything was accounted for and start assembling. The directions indicated it was a 2 person job. I did this alone in about an hour while I was making dinner. I'm very happy with it and it fits perfectly in the area of my kitchen I planned for. Needed no other tools other than the 2 alan wrenches that came with it. I took these pictures before I put anything on it... can't wait to load it up! ... show more

This rack exceeded my expectations! It was packaged well and arrived safely and even though there was an area of the box that was damaged, the actual components of the rack were not due to the padding provided for each piece. Also, I was pleasantly surprised about this whole experience; I was dreading putting it together for various reasons as I've built many pieces of this kind of furniture over the years and sometimes parts are missing, damaged or just don't line up and fit right. However, this was NOT the case with this piece, far from it! All the parts were there, pieces were in perfect condition, no scratches, no chips, no missing pieces! Biggest and greatest surprise was the PRECISION drilling and line-up of the holes. I did not have to struggle pushing or pulling ANY pieces into alignment, everything from beginning to end was super easy. This is a sturdy and well-made piece that levels perfectly on the floor with the adjustable feet, solid as a rock! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a very nice baker's rack. By the way, I am a 65 year old woman that walks with a walker and I was able to sit putting a lot of this together which was very nice. Just wanted point that out if you're hedging about buying it because of any concerns about building it easily. If I can do it and you're able-bodied, then you can too, I'm certain. ... show more

This shelf is a very nice addition to my tiny apartment, and holds all the kitchen detritus that doesn't fit in my tiny kitchen. A note on assembly: it is very easy to assemble, and one person can easily do it in less than an hour. This box is going to *hemorrhage* tiny bits of styrofoam at you though, so make sure you've got a vacuum or something ready. Srsly, I've had this thing for a couple weeks and I'm still finding random bits stuck to it -.- but other than that, it's pretty great. ... show more

I am absolutely in love with whoever designed this wonderful piece. It was so easy to put together, sturdy, and looks beautiful! It took me about an hour to put together- but only because I failed to look at important features (such as: which ways are the holes facing? A little important, so learn from my mistake and make sure all your holes are where they are supposed to be!) It goes together, easily, with the allen wrenches and hardware that are provided- no drills, no screwdrivers, no searching for "that damn screwdriver that fits this screw"! Thank you, God or Goddess, who designed this fabulous "bakers rack" that I get to look at every day while watching my coffee brew and my muffin warm in my microwave! ... show more

I love this bakers rack! I have a large microwave on it, which takes up the entire main shelf, but I'm okay with that as it is saving kitchen counter space. The hush is able to hold 8 full size cereal boxes. My lower shelf has a full sized kitchen aid mixer, an espresso maker, and a toaster. Another shelf holds two large mixing bowls, a set of dinner plates, and some bowls. The sturdiness is great once its weighed down by the items you put on it, however I do think it could be sturdier, and I am familiar with assembling my own furniture so I am confident in my assembly. For the price you pay, it is worth it. Saves a whole lot of counter space without needing to spend a whole lot and know how to set up your space. ... show more
