With the weather finally warming up, I've had a chance to use this trellis for my young cucumber plants. Before this trellis, I was merely using 3 PVC sections as poles with string tied across them as "steps" for the plants to climb on. While I like how you can configure the trellis into several different shapes/sizes, I'm going to go with the traditional A-frame shape to let my cucumbers climb to a higher elevation instead of growing close to the ground. This trellis is well made with plastic-coated parts that should hold up for several years. If this trellis works as I think it will, I'll be buying another one for my raised bed garden.

Comes in a small box for the size of this trellis. Coated metal poles fit together nice and tight but repeated dismantling and re-connection puts wear on the connections and can make them less snug. The cross bars are attached with metal clips that are pretty strong. Overall, the framework is quite strong and lightweight. You can build it into several configurations and construction is pretty simple. Stands approximately 5' tall if you make it into the teepee shape. This is a pretty good solution for cucumbers, beans, bitter melon, or passion fruit vines. The bottoms of the poles will need to be secured to the ground if you are using this in a windy area. The sectional pieces allow you to build different heights, as you wish. Includes, netting, wire and gloves in the kit with instructions.

We have a beautiful star jasmine plant in our backyard that we’ve been twisting back on itself as recommended by a local nursery. While this is mostly working, we are missing out on the beauty of this climbing plant. Due to its location (not against a fence or wall) and the weight of this plant, we’ve been struggling to find an appropriate trellis. I’m so excited to have found this trellis. Assembly took about 8 min with the easy-to-follow instructions. The A-frame feels sturdy, durable, and strong - everything we needed. We chose not to use the included netting because star jasmine climbs easily. The plant has just started climbing the frame, and we are excited to watch it continue.

This trellis is ideal for adding support for your cucumbers, tomatoes, peas, etc. The frame material is manufactured from steel, with a polyethylene coating, to provide strength, while resisting corrosion. It is easy to assemble, and the pointed legs make it easier to place. The stainless steel clips hold everything together securely. A pair of garden gloves, as well as a roll of tie material are included.

We’ve been struggling for a long time finding something that will hold our tomato plants up in the wind, this has been great, it does take a while to assemble but it’s well worth it because it’s very durable and sturdy. Would definitely recommend it for vine plants

This comes with many sections that need to be put together. Something like forty pieces to make up all of the bars and 20 clips to hold things together. Obviously this enables it to be shipped in a much smaller box. The instructions are clear, although there are two short pieces with no explanation as to where they go! This does take some time and some dexterity when using the clips to connect the cross pieces to the long legs. Although it is pretty sturdy when assembled I am wondering how having so many joints will make for some weakness over time. I should check back in at the end of garden season to let you know. The provided netting can be thrown over the finished product. It is nice and tall so it does maximize growing area per square feet. I have several other types of trellisis for climbing veggies so I look forward to adding this. Your choice would be to put in the time and effort to put this one together or get one that arrives in a large box, but is already assembled with welded joints.

I grow a lot of green beans and cucumbers in my garden each summer. This trellis is going to be fabulous for any vining crop you would want to grow. I am very impressed with the poles that come with this set. They are very sturdy. I really like that there are several variations on the way you can set up the poles and net. No matter your garden space, I would think you could make one of the configurations work in your area. This is a complete set down to plant tying ties. I can't wait until spring. I will probably be buying another so I have a bean and a cucumber set.

Handy! Hope cakes do well on this. Last year’s vines didn’t do well on my rigging (and I was so proud of it). I assembled a few pieces just to see how it went together and it was easy enough, sturdier than it looked! Nothing is planted yet so I don’t have pictures to show you.
