The picture on the website doesn't accurately portray the size of this umbrella. This thing is LARGE and will definitely cover you if you're unlucky enough to get caught out in the rain while in your tree stand, or standing under a tree. It's very easy to set up. There's an auger on the end of an arm that will screw into the tree and the umbrella then fits into the arm. There are straps that button onto the back of the umbrella, wrap around the tree and button onto the other side of the umbrella. I haven't set it up yet in my stand and am curious how it will hold up on a windy day - not to mention the noise it could make. It folds down into a very small package that fits into its own carrying sleeve. I'm looking forward to trying it out. ... show more

I really like this tree stand umbrella. It is easy to set up and works nice at keeping the sun out of my face while laying on the beach. Everything is made well and it opens and closes smoothly. The directions on installation were clear and easy to follow. The only weak part of this set up is the anchor screw. It is a thin gauge rod with a screw tip. Easy to go into the tree not so easy taking it out. It bent quite a bit trying to get it out but it did finally break loose. The snaps and straps are pretty straightforward and definitely needed since the anchor rod is so weak. Other than that, it’s a great umbrella for the price. I highly recommend ... show more

Was kinda disapponted at how thin and light everything is. But then I came and looked at the price, and it made sense. On the plus side, it's pretty compact and light for packing and hiking. I'd just rather it all be thicker and heavier duty. Doesn't seem like it will stand up to much wind. But we'll see. Calling it 4 stars for now, considering the price. I own a couple of these and use them all the time hunting.. I like that this one has a handle on the main rod that goes into the tree as my others don’t, and makes it a lot harder to push into the tree to start screwing it in.. The straps that wrap around the tree are a heavy duty webbed nylon and comes with 6 straps.. ( 3 snap on each side) then wrap around the tree and tie into a bow.. well made, great overall size when up, and nice little bag that fits it all and easily stores in a back pack.. ... show more

This is really nice to have in the rain or to create more camouflage. It most likely will not hold up to heavy wind but who hunts in strong winds anyways. Just as I expected. The umbrella is of light material just as a rain umbrella, and I like that it came in a sleeve case with Velcro. it is very easy to set up and will fit around most trees. While I expect this umbrella to keep me somewhat dry when it rains, I am unsure how it would keep up in heavy snow. I do recommend this product, but not for severe weather.
