So I did get this Saddle as part of the vine voices program where we get things to test and add our reviews. First my stats: 5'10", 245 pounds The saddle: The saddle itself is quite comfortable. Has mollie webbing on it and the velcro what can only be explained as a back band was a nice touch. The buckles are beefy and strong and seem quality made. The webbing is decent and feels quality as well. The stitching is where I have my doubts. The instructions say "do not jump or bounce in saddle" Telling me they worry about the dynamic load on the stitching. The Ropes: Ropes are quality, the Prusik knots are legit and cinch tight. The rope doesn't slip and is of good diameter. The ropes are the one thing in this kit I was really surprised about. The Prusik on the bridge cinched so tight it was difficult to get loose to adjust which doesn't hurt my feelings. The Carabiners: Here is where I am concerned. I know it says 25kn and the gates operate smoothly and they did not stretch or distort while I was doing my testing of this saddle kit, I still worry about something at this price point being a life safety thing. Overall, this saddle is still in the "trust but verify" stage for me. I've taken it out 5 times and tried it on different trees at different angles and moving it around the tree. So far it has not shown me anything that would tell me to tell you not to buy it but remember, in saddle hunting you get what you pay for and you're up 20'+ in a tree and something catastrophic happens this is what keeps you from falling. So I'd always have my Tether and linesman hooked on this. As of now this seems to be the real deal and if I have to I'll update my review later.

If you have been looking to get into mobile hunting and are thinking about saddle hunting the Xxiaojun saddle hunting kit would be a good place to start. Saddles can get really expensive as I very well know. Looking to take my son out and figure the kit would be good for him to try without a big investment. The kit came with the basic requirements. I'll start with the saddle. It's made of a mesh nylon material I believe. It is very light weight and looks to be sturdy. The seat should provide goo ventilation. All around the saddle it has molle loops for attachments. The back of the saddle is slightly padded to help with support. The saddle seat is wide enough for comfortable sit in the tree, but there is no adjustment that can be made. It comes with an 8-mil bridge rope already attached. For the waist and leg straps it uses cobra buckles which is great. The buckles snap in securely and firm. Also included at an 8-mil linesman and a tether rope. Each rope has the prusik knot already attached. The bag that the saddle comes in can be attached to the saddle to use for other equipment once you have the saddle on. Two carabiners come in the kit. They are screw locked and stamped for 25KN. The are light in weight so I'm not sure I buy that. I'll be replacing they with some of mine. The biggest concern I have are the loops to attach your linesman/tether rope. Although the straps look durable and are double stitched, they will most likely wear over time. Overall, as the title says, a good starter kit at a decent price point.

For context, this is not for me, but instead I ordered this for my boyfriend because he's been talking about getting a tree saddle for hunting ever since one of his bros told him it's a lot more comfortable than he is currently doing: curling up with a blanket on the ground, freezing, getting chased by dogs, etc. So naturally, I figured I'd surprise him with one (this is more of a selfish surprise because if he's more comfortable hunting, maybe...just maybe he'll go more often and stay out longer) The funny part? He was incredibly excited... right up until he actually held it and realized this thing involves hanging from a tree. Now he's just a little terrified of it, so whether he'll actually use it this season remains to be seen. That said, his (and my) first impressions are really positive. The kit feels well put together, the materials seem durable, and I like that it comes with everything needed to get started instead of having to piece together a system from multiple purchases. This definitely makes the cost seem more justifiable (though I'm not an expert on how much hunting gear normally costs). I also really appreciate that the instructions mention testing the saddle multiple times in both daytime and nighttime. I think that's a *very* important piece of information for new saddle users, and it's thoughtful of them to include it. Now I just hope that Tyler takes it to heart.

Through the Amazon Vine Program, I received the xxiaojun Tree Saddle Hunting Kit, priced at $139.99. Straight to the point: this tree saddle kit is pretty much as described in the listing, but personally, I just do not like it as much as my old saddle. It does not fit me the same way, and for my comfort and preference, it just did not feel quite right. That does not mean it is a bad product, but it was not a perfect fit for me. 🌲🦌 One thing I will say is that this kit would probably be a decent option for a first-time saddle hunter. It comes with basically everything needed to try saddle hunting and see if it is something you like before spending even more money on a higher-end setup. The included saddle, storage pocket, tether, bridge, lineman’s belt, and clasps make it a fairly complete starter kit. 👍 The saddle is lightweight and packable, which is nice if you are carrying gear into the woods. The storage pockets are also useful for small tools or extra rope, and the camouflage color fits the hunting purpose well. The adjustable straps do give you some room to dial in the fit, but for me, it still did not feel as comfortable or natural as the saddle I am used to. As far as the price point goes, at $139.99, I would say it is just “meh.” It is not terrible for what comes with it, but I would have liked to see slightly better-quality material used. The listing describes it fairly accurately, but in my opinion, the overall feel does not quite match what I would hope for at this price. 💰 For short use or someone just getting into saddle hunting, this may work fine. My son has been begging to start saddle hunting with his bow. I got this kit because it has everything that he needs to begin. He has watched tons of videos to know how to tie the knots and where to put the carabiners. His best friend and he are planning on using these saddles for deer hunting this fall. His friend's father already saddle hunts, so he is working with them and this kit is what he helped them pick out to get started. He has inspected all parts of it and feels that it is a solid kit for teenagers to begin with. They are both lighter weight boys, so we aren't concerned with weight limits, but we did pick up climbing carabiners from REI to use if they see any signs of the ones that came with it show signs of wear. We didn't want them to be in the woods or up a tree and have one show signs of concern. This way they have a carabiner to change it out. This is a great starter kit for anyone to begin with. All part of it are quality, but it doesn't hurt to have extra bits on hand just encase. The boys are practicing a few feet off the ground until they get the hang of everything. Practice makes perfect for everyone!

I was honestly surprised by the quality of this tree saddle kit considering the price. I expected something more basic but the materials feel much better than I anticipated.
