For about 5 years now I've dealt with depression and sometimes I'll deal with bouts of deep depression where I don't leave the house, change my clothes or shower everyday as I should. I'd been feeling so down as someone who's OCD about cleanliness but, struggled so much to keep up with it due to depression that it was a vicious cycle of just beating myself down. I finally decided to force myself to do a self care routine, no matter how awful I'm feeling and that included a shower and bath one as well. I found this shea sugar scrub and hoped it wash away weeks of self neglect and self hate. I used this in the shower and boy did it change how I felt after. My skin felt like it could finally breath again and like I had washed a load of sadness off my back. Never had I thought a typical looking body scrub on amazon would leave me feeling a little more hope than yesterday. Like I said, I never share reviews for fear or judgment or just never having the courage to speak up. But Tree Hut really sparked something in me after using it that makes me feel like this new self care routine will pull me our of darker days and leave my skin smelling amazing and feeling smooth. This is hands-down one of the best exfoliating products I’ve ever used, and it delivers a luxurious, effective, and sensorial experience that rivals professional spa treatments—all for an affordable price. Let’s start with the scent—wow. The Coco Colada fragrance is like a tropical vacation in a jar. It has the perfect balance of sweet coconut and juicy pineapple without being overpowering or artificial. Every time I open the jar, I feel like I’m lounging on a beach with a piña colada in hand. The scent lingers just enough on the skin to leave a light, fresh tropical aroma without being too heavy or clashing with perfume. It makes showering feel like a mini escape. The scrub has a thick, gritty texture—just how a real sugar scrub should be. It’s packed with fine sugar granules that exfoliate deeply and evenly without scratching or irritating my sensitive skin.
