Great lift, It was relatively easy too instal but I definitely suggest having two people. I desided to try 265/65R17 Firestone LE2 tires. The Tires look great and fit with no problems, have no rubbing at full turn or when I hit the large speed bumps in neighborhoods. All total I got about 3" of lift, it looks and rides great Update: after having the lift installed with larger tires for several months and having made a few road trips I found that my threshold for fuel economy has dropped to 75mph. If I push it to 80mph for very long I can lose up to 5mpg. Other then that it has been a great upgrade. just an FYI for anybody looking to lift theirs.

I was so excited to receive this kit. I had it professionally installed by a very reputable business (Thurston spring company in Richmond Virginia is known as the best in VA ). Although I like the way my 2016 Explorer looks, there is a very consistent knocking sound that the spring company cannot figure out . They have had it in their shop on two separate occasions and the problem persists. I am really frustrated, and really don’t know how to proceed. I am now hundreds of dollars poorer and now with a Vehicle that has a constant knocking sound. Please do yourself a favor and consider if the modest improvement an appearance is worth the hassle / cost. **Update: I called Trade today to explain the situation and immediately the young lady I spoke with became ultra defensive telling me that the installers must have made a mistake. I assured her that the spring company only did lifts and leveling kits and infant were on the phone with Technical Support trying to troubleshoot the etiology of the knocking. She reminded me of how few issues they have had in the past and that there is no chance that they are at fault. When I asked her about the faulty directions I received with the tech support stating they were wrong and to put them in the opposite way, she told me to take that up with Amazon. I have been back and forth multiple times, and at this point I have accepted that this is the cost of doing business on the internet and not having face / face communication with a real person who could clearly empathize with my situation. I admit that when I talked with Traxda I was frustrated with the immediate 'this couldn't be our fault' approach, however it is the first time in my life that I have been hung up on. Hopefully, I can update the Amazon community after I submit a formal letter to Traxda and get beyond the front line person that answers the phone.

I installed this lift kit myself on my 2016 Ford Explorer AWD. It took about 5 hours. The lift was not hard for me to do, but I have the right tools and mechanical knowledge of how to do it. The instructions were confusing for the front strut mount as to the correct mounting position. I called the company and they told me the correct way to mount it. I had it aligned immediately. It works great and is not causing any problems or making noises. It really looks good and as others have said, this the height that the Explorer should have come from the factory. I still have the stock tires on it and will be replacing them with AT tires when these wear out. I talked with the owner of the company a couple of times about some of the bad reviews. From talking to him and from my experience the problems were because of someone not doing the install correct. I highly recommend this lift kit. The only reason I gave a 4 for due to instructions.

The lift works and looks great on my explorer! It went on easily and quickly after the years on the instructions were clarified by customer service. Customer service was very helpful and attentive to the situation with a quick clarification. They also gave additional advice on assembly. Only recommendation needed is for an update on the years of the explorer it will fit and instructions for those years. The directions say 2011 to 2016 but it will actually fit 2011-2019.

No instructions included. Found them online but they are not very clear on step by steps or torque ratings per bolt when reinstalling everything. Was also missing a set of bolts and nuts for the sway bar extension, had to go out and buy some mid way through the install. I’ve done these types of lifts a few times so I have a general idea of what needs to be done properly. I don’t recomend for a first timer or those with little automotive skill/ knowledge of suspensions.
