This luggage has now survived two international airline trips and done well. It has excellent capacity. The wet pocket inside the lid is very handy for damp items. There is another pocket inside the lid for other small items that you don't want to submerge under the other items. The zippers appear to be robust. The ability to unzip and expand the capacity is handy. Saves refolding dirty laundry when packing to return! And it has straps to help compress the luggage and take strain off the zippers.

Love this suitcase! I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to share my experience. I choose the medium size which was plenty big for my 11 day Alaskan cruise. The suitcase is already lightweight, and the medium size was perfect so I did not pack too much. I had plenty of leftover room, which was very helpful keeping the suitcase light and manageable. The outside pockets had plenty of room for a pair of hiking shoes, and flip-flops. The inside pocket for items that could leak or spill was the perfect size and I had plenty of room left over there as well. The rolling wheels were very sturdy and strong and they really do look like rollerblade wheels. I rolled the suitcase over many obstacles, including railroad tracks, and it was super easy to manage.

I bought this piece of luggage for a one month trip, 2 weeks of which were traveling to 4 different locations in Japan. I’ve typically used a backpack but was looking for something to pull on wheels (and not those spinners that can get sheared off by baggage handlers.) I was a little hesitant at first due to some of the reviews but this seemed to be my best option. Excellent choice! This is one of the most perfect carryon bags I’ve used over many decades. The zippers perform perfectly and the side cinch straps do their job well. Ignore the comments of people who had difficulty with those particular items - they are not a problem. Plenty of room for a 2 plus week traveling as you do not need a humongous suitcase to travel. If you stay in hotels in Japan and other Asian countries you don’t want anything bigger as many hotel rooms are small and navigating large luggage on planes, trains and other public transportation is a nuisance. I’ll be interested to see how this weathers traveling over the next several years but I see nothing in the design or materials that suggest there will be problems. The price is extremely reasonable for the quality of this bag so if you’re looking for something that meets airline carryon metrics and can pack lots of your stuff while surviving baggage handlers (when a small plane has little/no carry on space), buy this bag.

Good inline wheel case. I had been looking for a replacement for my deteriorating poly carbonate carry on sized go bag that contains all of my regular travel essentials (cpap, utensiles, otc meds, pillow, etc, etc. This bag is not a hard case but does have a hard bottom pan. It is just enough larger that it will hold my compressed queen pillow along with all the other stuff I carry just in case... It seems well made but I'm a little concerned about UV deterioration as it resides in the back seat & bed of my truck 100% of the time. Even though it weighs almost 40lbs, it rolls great and has handles on several sides.

I bought this specifically for a trip from US to Malaysia. I needed a bag bigger than my usual that would hold ~10 days worth of clothes, a couple changes of shoes, and some souvenirs. Here's what I liked for those deciding: - I prefer rollaboards to spinners, so this one manuevered through airports exactly as I wanted. The upright handle felt like it would hold up; so did the wheels. In fact, the construction overall feels well-done. - The color is purple with sunshine yellow lining. It's neither garish, nor overly feminine and in fact, it's fair to say it's a little rugged in style, even. The visibility and rarity of the purple gave me an advantage on the luggage carousel--my bag stood out vs. the sea of basic, utilitarian bags. - I was prepared for rough handling as I flew from Dallas to Tokyo to Kuala Lumpur, but you know what? Not only did my bag arrive intact (zippers and all), it didn't even look particularly dirty or scuffed. It will eventually not look new anymore, but it took a beating better than I expected. - It didn't tip easily. I hate it when bags tip from the upright. I'm not saying it won't, but it seems relatively well-balanced/weighted, if that's a thing. - I packed for twelve days and never had to open the expander zippers. I've never been known as a light packer and am more an over-stuffer. I was delighted to have that much room. Good organizer pockets/compartments. Keep in mind though--it's generous curves mean this baby is too big to go unchecked, so keep that in mind. I read a BUNCH of reviews on this site and e bags before making up my mind to own this. It's my first Travelpro, but I'm sold on that line now and it won't be my last. I'm so glad I bought it. Highly recommended and happy travels.
