The media could not be loaded. We usually don't check a bag, but are planning a few longer trips now that our kids are grown and needed a couple of larger, sturdy suitcases to check at the airport. We needed something easy to maneuver, especially since one of us is a wheelchair user. We were looking for something with spinner wheels that didn't just roll straight. This piece of luggage looked like it would be perfect for our needs and it is! When this luggage arrived, we were blown away at the construction and features. I have never had a piece of luggage with eight spinner wheels. This is a game changer. It is so easy to maneuver. It takes so much frustration out of travel and is easy to roll alongside a wheelchair. It's also large enough that we can stack tote bags on the handle to make them easier to transport. Other favorite features include the lock and ability to expand it (hello souvenirs). The textured surface helps prevent scratches and provides rigidity to the body. The side carry handles also make it easy for my caretaker to grab it when needed. The interior pocket, zippers and panels help organize my items and medications for easy access. A big plus is the TSA lock. For those that don't know, A TSA lock is a luggage lock that's approved by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). These locks feature a special red diamond logo, allowing security officers to inspect the luggage without having to cut the lock open or break it. They have special tools for this. I just learned about this and love it. Before, I would just leave it unlocked and open to someone stealing something. This is awesome! This bag holds a ton and the hard outside makes it sturdy and gives us hope that nothing inside will ever be damaged by rough throwing at the airports by staff. I highly recommend this feature packed suitcase. It's definitely a luxury item, but well worth the extra money as it should last a lifetime. Prior suitcases we scrimped on, we had to replace after 1-2 uses. After trying this one out on two flights so far, we plan to purchase at least one more. This is also a well trusted brand and one of the reasons we originally loved this suitcase when we saw the listing. I highly recommend this suitcase. The double wheels (aka 8 wheels, not just 4) are an absolute must for any level of traveler. So make it a point and tell your family, friends, coworkers, whomever, to hard reject any 4 wheels no matter what the price is. The wheels roll very smooth and I would rate it among the quieter, high-grade wheel types. The empty-weight is very light and among the lightest of bags in this size. The handle telescopes out smoothly and operates with ease. This appears like a more cut-down version of their more high-end line, but the price is far more value-oriented, without giving up too much of the design. The wave design is pretty much the only feature, whereas the high-end line do get rather fancy-looking. Depending on your own preference, you may find this one is on the slim and smaller size, so you may need to use the expansion zipper. Both interior halves are zippered, with a single small zipper pocket. The exterior and interior zippers all open and close smoothly. A minor issue is the top and side handles are offset and a little awkwardly positions. I'd prefer if the handles were more centered so that when lifting the bag, it's pulling along the center of gravity. One important feature, that's often missing on other brands, is the hand-hold (or a handle) on the bottom of the bag. That extra handle helps tremendously when lifting the bag overhead. Although I haven't tried seeing how well this would survive check-in handling, I haven't had any larger polycarbonate shelled cases crack or break from check-in so far. And since this looks and sounds like same polycarbonate material, so it should be solid there. Especially considering how much fees can be charged for check-ins, you're not going to get your money's worth by checking in this size of bag. The TSA lock seems fine and all, but I don't find it particularly necessary since a carry-on should not be leaving your control if you're not going to check in this anyways. It doesn't matter for me since I don't use the feature, but it does not have a USB charge port like the high-end bags. In the end, this is great looking, great functioning carry on bag, from a high-end brand that's well worth the price. ... show more
