For those that are not aware, the size limitations for carry-on luggage, for non-US carrier carriers, within the EU are different than in the US. The size of the carry-on is much smaller and the regional EU airlines regularly enforce the size and weight limits. This bag is the only high-quality, light-weight, carry-on that meets the EU requirements. Bought specifically to meet European very restrictive airline carry on requirements (e.g., Lufthansa). Quality: Smooth & sturdy rolls, great zippers, sturdy fabric, very light weight for 4 wheel carry on. Greatest pro: extremely spacious considering the size. Was able to fit in (for fall season): 3 pairs of pants, 3 sweaters, one puffer vest, one Helly Hansen crew rain jacket, one long wool coat (not lined), one Jeans Jacket, one dress, one skirt, 1pair of ballet flats, one pair of sneakers, 3 scarves, 3 tshirts, underwear and stockings. (Note I am not tiny but wear size XL) Bag was pre-checked by Lufthansa before boarding. Size was fine but had to take wool coat out b/c overall weight was exceeding max weight limits. After I obtained my ‘carry on approved’ tag from Lufthansa, I put my coat back in and had no further issues. ;-) Will most likely buy more for rest of family. ... show more

I bought the 19” during Amazon sale days to replace my well-worn & well-loved Swiss Gear Sion. My first trip involved 6 days travel via trains, planes, & busses. It held up without a scratch loading & unloading on all types of transportation. I was pleasantly surprised that I could get as much in it as my Sion, which is an inch wider. I pack light using a 2-compartment compression bag for clothes, my toiletry bag, 2 hoodies, underwear & swimsuit, my folding walking stick & heavy hiking sandals. The large zip outer pocket is great for holding a jacket. It also expands to hold even more stuff, yet fits well in overhead on planes. It’s lightweight & has lots of handles on top, bottom & sides. It’s durable and the wheels & extending handle all feel sturdy pulling over uneven surfaces. Excellent quality and design. Wheels are smooth. I’ve used it for several trips, still looks new. Always fits in the overhead space on airplanes. This replaced my larger samsonite carry on. Since airlines started to get picky about the size of carry ons, I wanted to something fail proof.

I’ve owned several TravelPro carryon suitcases over the years and have always been a loyal customer and believed they were absolutely the best suitcases around, but this latest purchase was a lemon! It lasted just two trips as carryon luggage and two flights as checked (in Spain/Portugal due to weight). As you can see if the photos there is one gash that’s definitely the fault of the airline (though I would have expected better resistance from the TravelPro material anyway), but the rest of the wear and tear is simply due to poor quality from TravelPro for this suitcase. If not for the durability, it was a great international carryon suitcase…lightweight, great features, plenty of space for my things. But ultimately, what a disappointment and waste of money! ... show more

As a senior elderly woman, i love that this bag is really light weight. I also love tha zippered pockets that allow easy access to items in those pockets. It is a well made, well thought out bag that is easy to wheel through the airport and lift into the overhead compartment.
