I bought this trunk for three weeks in Europe specifically due to its weight. It’s very lightweight and many of the airlines in Europe have very strict weight limits. I packed three weeks worth of clothes (using packing cubes) including three pairs of shoes, and this baby is a workhorse. It is easy to access. It stands up like Barbie’s wardrobe trunk! You can open the suitcase without having to lay it down to access your items but the best part is the 2/3, 1/3 split! the 2/3 side holds so much stuff -the 1/3 side held my shoes and my make up and toiletries bags. The zippers are smooth and sturdy, the TSA approved lock is secure and easy to program. The wheels on this baby are amazing!! Traveling through Europe on cobblestone Streets, bricks, stairs, escalators, uneven surfaces— on four different Airlines, three different trains. This luggage is a godsend. As you can see there are a few scuffs on the outside, but no dents, no punctures… and no damage to anything inside! It comes with a clear plastic protector that was awesome for the in-country/inter-continental flights as you don’t have to go through customs when in the EU!! It protected my luggage from the rain, and there are slits in the protector to access the handles. (In 3 airports there were vendors selling luggage wrapping - they spin the luggage round and round and round and wrap it a bunch of times with plastic saran wrap for £13-15!) The extension handle is a Little loose feeling as the uprights are kind of close together but my bag when loaded weighed about 20kg and I had no issues with the handle’s stability or durability! This is a truly awesome piece of luggage! I highly recommend it! And the price is fantastic— I looked at the fancy bags from Tumi, Away and other high end luggage brands, and you would be hard-pressed to tell me why you’d pay 2 or 3 times as much for one of those when this bag is totally comparable in every way.. and IMHO has the advantage with the 2/3-1/3 split vs 1/2 & 1/2 styles! I am absolutely thrilled with this bag’s performance, durability and looks! 5 stars for sure!!! ... show more

    • Can Pack a HUGE Amount of Clothing

When I received this I thought it looked smaller than my old suitcase and I was sure I wouldn't be able to pack as much in it. Boy was I wrong. There is something about the way this is set up inside - with the dividers - that makes it hold so much stuff! I was able to pack way more than I thought I'd be able to fit. Also - it comes with a plastic cover that you can put on when checking the bag to protect it. I wasn't sure the plastic cover would stay on or hold up to the rough conditions of baggage handling, but it did. And the suitcase came out of the baggage carousel in perfect condition. I have only used it once so far and it wasn't an international flight, but I think it will hold up well. Super easy to maneuver - love the handle. Wheels are smooth and glide through the airport. I had the away checked bag and every time I would travel with it it was overweight. I found myself looking into trunk suitcases because I like the way that they opened when you travel and are on the road to grab clothes easily - packing was a breeze. The wheels glide nicely and it’s easy to put in the trunk of an suv or a sedan. I got the 28 inch trunk and it weighed 38 lbs completely full including toiletries and shoes. I like the shape and size of this suitcase and took it on probably 6 trips over the course of 1st year with it. But then the handle broke in a partway up position and I couldn't get it up or down. Impressed that the handle didn't break off, but only 1 year of use for a new suitecase isn't the kind of durability I would have expected. It rolled smooth and I like the "trunk" dimensions where it wasn't split in half but more 75/25 and the shape was taller and narrower than a typical suitcase of the same class. ... show more

This bag was outstanding for me. I needed to ship many supplies from my artist studio from NY to France and back again through a luggage service. It contained multiple art pads, wooden boxes with pastels, a folding stool, paintbrush rolls, several pencil cases, clothing, shoes, day pack and a fifes canvas boards. The same things also had to make a return trip. The bag was solid and rolled well with a 55 lb load. The zipper held tight and the shelving was very useful to make compartments so things didn’t slide around. All I can say is “wow”. This bag was opened along each leg by customs and there wasn’t a scratch on it at either end of it’s voyages….and this was without the included plastic cover. By itself the bag is quite light for its size and all the handles just add to the manageability. I very much recommend this bag if you have a size able amount to check at the airport, or in this case ship through a luggage service. ... show more

I purchased the large 30 inch rose pink trunk at the end of April of 2024 based on the reviews for durability and ease of use. I also purchased the 4-year Asurian insurance with it. I have loved using the suitcase - but not even a year and a half after purchasing it, I noticed the polycarbonate around the wheels started to crack when I returned from a recent trip. I filed my claim with Asurian and they sent me an Amazon gift card for only the original price of the suitcase - not even including the full cost I paid for it with taxes. So in the end, I'm still out a suitcase that couldn't even last a year and a half, and the $70 in taxes and cost of the insurance plan because the plan doesn't carry over to if I purchase a new suitcase. AND I can only use the money on Amazon. So buyer beware - the suitcase is NOT durable and not worth the $300...and you will still be out a lot of money if you buy the insurance plan. "Read the fine print" on the Asurian plan - it's truly not the value you think it is. I can't even tell you how disappointed I am by the product and the plan. Not durable, not worth the money - and the insurance plan doesn't make you whole again by any means. ... show more

I got two of these to take on 2 back to back themed cruises— the kind where you need a lot of costumes and trinkets. Each one was filled with one cruise’s costumes for me and my husband. They were so easy the pack. The top ( lid of a trunk) opens to reveal a larger than normal depth lid WITH a zippered restraint so nothing moves when you open it. The slightly deeper top was perfect for all the strange small parts of our costumes. When we left for the airport we were surprised at how light the trunk felt. It wasn’t really lighter-( we weighed them)— it was designed more ergonomically with handles everywhere and rounded edges so you don’t end up with bruises. It was so easy to move that even porters mentioned how comfortable and easy to lift they were. After 2 flights, 2 Ubers, 2 cruises, 2 hotels and loading and unloading from our car to the house, there isn’t a single mark on them. This actually improved how I felt about this logistically difficult trip. Bravo!! ... show more

Just finished my first trip with this luggage. 14 days in Portugal. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Huge interior space capacity and still within standard sizes for a checked bag. Organization system and trunk style was fantastic as we changed hotels 5 times. Wheels were incredibly durable and functional over many European cobblestones. Hard case showed only minimal scuffs and dirt after tsa, customs and nearly 48 hours of travel/transfers/trains/layovers. Cleaned up easily afterwards with Windex and a magic eraser and now looks brand new. The locking mechanism was also easy to use and the multi height handle was helpful for me (5’2” and my partner 6’2”).
