I very rarely leave reviews. I feel guilty about that since reviews are one of the things I like most about shopping from Amazon and I've learned to be generally confident with the assessments of the crowd. I buy a lot on Amazon, from clothes (including shoes) to supplies, I've been a customer since around 2000, and yet it is unusual for me to feel compelled to leave a review, particularly for such a low cost item. However, in this case, I'm so pleased with how perfect this jacket has been for me. It far exceeded my expectations around the use I planned for it. I just returned from a month in Europe and what I loved about this jacket is how lightweight it is, how small it can be rolled and tucked into my waist belt or shoulder bag, and yet how effective it is and also actually pleasing to the eye. I would bring this jacket with me for the occasional afternoon or evening shower in Greece and Germany, but even got used to wearing it to cut the morning or evening chill, and for running when it was chilly. I don't think I've been this pleased with anything I else I've bought in terms of the value to the price paid ratio. The only negative I can point out is that you need to be careful zippering the jacket closed the first dozen or so times you wear it, or the zipper will catch on fabric and get stuck. It's not hard to unstick though, and it gets smoother after the first week. Other than that initial caution, the jacket itself is awesome. I will actually order a few more and just keep them in my closet until I need them out of fear these won't be available at some point in the future! ;) ... show more

The sizing is accurate and it's very well made. I love that the pockets all have zippers, so you don't lose your keys or sunglasses. The design issue I have is with the material behind the zipper. This tends to fold up and get caught in the zipper. Then you have to spend 5 minutes trying to get the material out of the zipper. ... show more

I've been looking for years for an actual windbreaker. Not a jacket that is hot on a sunny day but a jacket thats cool and has zippered pockets for windy days on or near the lake, as well as out and about. To simply stop the wind and not overheat. I'm a 4xlt and this jacket fits perfectly. After at least 10 years or so am officially retiring my old old ols windbreaker. Yahoo im sooo happy i found this. I will be buying more as a backup in the case I cannot find one again in the future.     • Critically bad zipper wind-flap design

Ridiculous wind flap for the zipper. An otherwise very nice, lightweight jacket, ruined by a poorly designed, thin wind flap for the zipper. It's nearly impossible to zip the jacket without the thin material of the wind flap getting caught in the zipper. Then it takes three hands to hold the wind flap to the side, while pulling down on the jacket to keep the zipper straight, while pulling the zipper tab upward or downward, to allow the zipper to slide off of the thin, obnoxious wind flap. While wind flaps are standard for jackets, this one is formed from the same fabric as the jacket, which doesn't lie flat, causing it to become caught in the zipper mechanism essentially every time the zipper is fastened. An additional, heavier and thicker strip of material sandwiched into the wind flap would likely fix this crucial flaw. The zipper itself is usable, but the wind flap beside the zipper should be reinforced by a heavier, stiffer material to keep it from constantly getting caught in the zipper. This design issue ruins an otherwise very serviceable, comfortable, and well made garment. ... show more

I’m 6 ft 1 in, 190 lbs, based on others comments, I thought XL vs L would be too big, but I got XL anyway. Glad I did it fits me fine, L would be too small. It is what I wanted, a light windbreaker. An otherwise perfect lightweight windbreaker ruined by a cheap zipper. At first it was a little flakey at the bottom if you didn't seat the one side perfectly you could undo it an start again. But then even when it was seated properly, it got stuck at the top and I could not get it unstuck. I had to cut myself out of it. I would gladly pay an extra $10 for a YKK zipper. ... show more

Got this as a lightweight jacket for pickleball in the spring. Perfect color! Love the longer length sleeves. I’m a 5ft 7in woman but bought this men’s jacket to give me the arm length I like. I got the small. Fits perfectly. Comfortable and easily packable.
