This is one super heavy, strong and secure way to keep a trailer from being disconnected and hauled away. It feels like cast iron, but it seems more like hardened steel too. The powder coat isn't coming off for me yet so that's a bonus. It took me a bit to figure out how to use it. I'm fairly new to trailer hitches, so this is my first time working with this sort of secure coupling lock. For me, it wasn't so easy installing it until I got the idea of how it supposed to work. It looks odd tovme on my coupler, but it functions as intended. Bottom line is that at least I have an added measure of security with this behemoth. It fit my simple trailer hitch, but I noticed this won't fit all coupler variations, so you may want to be sure your hitch and trailer will accept this massive lock system. So far, I have no real caveats. For some of you, it may take a little time figuring it out like it did me, but the learning curb is worth it imho. Worthy of consideration.

This coupler lock from the FixOasis Store on Amazon is a monster. The first thing you notice is the weight—it must be pushing fifteen pounds of solid steel. It feels incredibly durable and heavy-duty, which is precisely what I wanted to deter thieves. Any opportunist is going to look for an easier target when they see this beast. The build quality is excellent, and the painted coating seems robust and ready to handle the weather, which is a big plus compared to some inferior locks I've used that rust quickly. The lock fit my main trailer coupler snugly without any necessary adjustments, and once it was closed around the tongue, it didn't budge, even when I tried to shift the trailer by hand. That perceived usefulness and peace of mind are huge. However, I did find a small drawback. The key slot, while partially protected by the outer cover, is a very tight fit. It can be a little slow to unlock, especially if you are working quickly or if it's dark. This is a air trade-off for the superior security provided by the heavy puck design that blocks the ball area entirely. I also appreciate the three keys included, allowing me to keep them in separate, safe places.

I was looking for a more robust trailer lock and this one is a brute! This thing is really heavy and fits toghether fast. I like how versatile it is so i can use it on all of my trailers and unlike the other ones I used to use, I seriously doubt anyone is getting this one off without a plasma cutter. The 3 included keys are very unique so I wont be confusing them with any of my other keys. The weld quality is very good and the puck lock functions very well and is protected inside a little circle of steel. This looks like an excellent buy if youre looking for top security!

The lock is really well made and high quality. It has quite a bit of weight to it. It does fit my trailer and keeps it safe. There are 3 keys which I like because I can make sure to keep on on my key chain, one on my spouses and one in a safe place. To unlock it the key is a very tight fit. It does help keep everything locked and safe; but if you are in a hurry or it's dark it might take a bit longer than you want.

This is a SOLID, heavy duty, security setup for my trailer that is super easy to install! It fit my coupler size without any problems, and the fully covered design looks like its much harder for anyone to tamper with. The powder coated finish in red says stay away haha, and also gives it good weather resistance so I can leave the trailer parked outside without worrying about rust or anything like that. It’s a little bulky, but that’s exactly what you want in a lock meant to deter theft – nobody is getting through this thing. Overall, it’s a tough, well built lock that gives me a lot more peace of mind while sleeping at night. Good value for the cost too!

This lock fits both my utility and boat trailer couplers without any adjustments. After closing it around the tongue, it remained mounted and did not shift a bit when I moved the trailer by hand. The outer cover protects the key slot a bit, which is good. The paint did hold up well after a few bumps. Overall, very durable and heavy-duty lock.
