The stain and varnish just under our kitchen cabinet has been waring away with water over the years. Same with our bathroom vanities. No time to redo them right now, so I wanted to try something like this til we can do it right. It covered over the nicks and thin scratches but hasn't really done much for the wider water-worn places. The product doesn't make that promise, so I'm not blaming them. I'm just disappointed that it didn't work for us. It is pretty fumey, so I recommend keeping the room very much ventilated. I pointed fans it the cabinets after when I was done. A couple hours later we noticed a faint smell of something burning, but couldn't find the source. But as a last resort I put my nose to the cabinet, and yep...that's where it was coming from. Another couple hours later the odor was gone. I have cats, and a small dog. I was worried for them, so I might not going after any more scratches. ... show more

This thing works INCREDIBLY well, look at my before and after screenshots. Just a few things you need to keep in mind. It is NOT a scratch remover. Its a dye, that blends incredibly well with the finish of your wood. What that does is that it makes it very hard to see the nicks and scratches unless you know exactly where they are. Second, it is VERY hard to get off of fabric. It’s oil based so acetone or mineral spirits works well to scrub it off. Tried about everything from markers to crayons to regular polish to hide the crack and the crack lines. One swish with a rag and some Trade Secret Scratch Remover and it was all gone.
